Another week, another group of Shore Conference wrestlers coming through with impressive victories.

Now it’s time to get your vote in for who had the top performance in the Shore to choose the Big Frog Wrestler of the Week. The winner will be announced on Thursday right here on ShoreSportsNetwork.com. Voting will end Wednesday at midnight.

In case you're wondering why certain wrestlers were not nominated, the rules are one wrestler per team and no nominations for previous winners.

Wrestler of the Week nominees for Jan. 29-Feb. 4

Saint Phard Bellamy, Sr., 182, Neptune

Bellamy went 5-0 with five pins to improve to 17-7 on the season.

Nick Caracappa, Sr., 170, St. John Vianney

Caracappa recorded his 100th career victory over the weekend as the Lancers defeated Irvington and Delaware Valley.

Michael Conklin, Fr., 120, Toms River East

Conklin continued his standout freshman season by defeating Freehold state qualifier Nico Messina, 17-10, and improving to 26-4.

Chris Dean, Sr., 120, Long Branch

Dean won by technical fall during a win over Asbury Park to reach 100 career victories. He is 19-9 on the season.

Tyler Huston, So., 126 Manchester

Huston went 4-0 during the week to improve to 15-6 on the season and came through with a major decision in the final bout to give the Hawks a 36-35 win over Marlboro on criteria.

Adam Markman, Sr., 285, Middletown South

Markman went 3-0 during the week, including a 1-0 win over Toms River East's Brandon Austin in a matchup of two of the Shore's top heavyweights. Markman, who was third at the Shore Conference Tournament, is now 25-4 this season.

Eric Quartey, Sr., 195, Freehold Township

Quartey went chasing big game this week and caught his prey twice. He bumped up to 220 pounds and defeated Donovan Catholic's Sal DiSalvo in a matchup of SCT finalist and also went up a weight to defeat CBA's Cameron DiGiorgio. A state qualifier last year, Quartey is 23-3 on the season.

Edison Quesada, Sr., 220, Red Bank

Quesada continued his breakout season by going 5-0 with five pins to improve to 22-7.

David Rubin, Fr., 106, Matawan

Rubin went 5-0 during the week with four bonus-point wins to run his record to 14-3.

Christian Ruiz, Sr., 132, Lakewood

Ruiz was a buzzsaw with three first-period pins in a quad sweep on Saturday and finished the week 5-0 to improve to 22-8 on the season.
