Thrive Week 4 Girls Soccer Player of the Week

Kendall Livingston, Freehold Boro

Junior Kendall Livingston’s performance last week helped Freehold Boro win two games in the week for the first time this season. Livingston also posted her second shutout of the season against St. Rose.

Her play resulted in her being voted by the fans as Week 4 Thrive Girls Soccer Player of the Week in the 2023 season.

Early in the week, Livingston held Neptune to one goal and kept Neptune’s most dangerous scorer shut out to help Freehold Boro win, 3-1.

She followed that by only giving up one goal against Ocean in a 1-0 defeat. Livingston had to make double-digit saves against the dangerous offense of the Spartans, which has scored two or more goals in eight games this season.

Livingston ended the week by posting a well-earned shutout against St. Rose. In that game she had to make several difficult saves, including a one-on-one breakaway in the second half to preserve the shutout victory for Freehold Boro.

Livingston collected 30.9 percent of the votes casted for the Week 4 Player of the Week award. Red Bank Catholic Izzy Mellili (29.4 percent) was the runner-up and Lacey’s Lynsey McGovern (17.1 percent) finished in third place as the only other nominee with at least 10 percent of the vote.

As the fourth Thrive Girls Soccer Player of the Week of the 2023 season, Livingston will receive a shirt and a free training session courtesy of Thrive.
