Manasquan entered the Shore Conference Tournament as the No. 17 seed and won all three of its games heading into Thursday, including an upset of No. 1 seed Manalapan, to earn Week 6 Surf Taco Girls Soccer Team of the Week award and the accompanying $250 Gift Card from Surf Taco.

In the opening round against No. 16 Toms River East, the Warriors scored two unanswered goals to win, 2-1. Senior Rylie Rampone scored the equalizer late in the first half from 35 yards out and senior Renee Herbert converted a penalty kick in the second half to advance.

Manasquan shocked the Shore Conference in the second round, defeating No. 1 Manalapan, 2-1, in overtime. Rampone scored the first goal of the game from a similar spot as she did in the TRE game. Sophomore Jordyn Hollawell scored the golden goal on a breakaway after she stole the ball from a Manalapan defender.

In the quarterfinals, the Warriors trailed late in the second half, but scored two goals to defeat No. 8 Point Boro. After conceding a goal in the 61st minute, Manasquan was awarded a penalty kick in the 68th minute after a handball was committed in the box. Herbert converted the penalty kick to tie the game. The Warriors took the lead in the 74th minute on a free kick by Herbert just outside the box. Rampone made a run into the box on the free kick and headed the ball to the far side of the net.

Manasquan will face No. 13 Howell on Thursday in the SCT Semifinals at Summerfield Elementary School in Neptune.
