Rumson-Fair Haven entered last week unranked, but changed that by going 3-0 during the week, beating two Shore 16 opponents, and earning the Week 4 Surf Taco Girls Soccer Team of the Week award.

Rumson started the season ranked No. 13 in the Shore 16, but an opening-day loss to unranked Ocean pushed them out of the rankings. The Bulldogs reentered the Shore 16 this week, climbing to No. 11 after winning four straight games.

Rumson opened the week defeating Red Bank Regional in a Class A Central matchup, 3-1. Rumson’s only loss in the division this season came to No. 3 Red Bank Catholic two weeks ago.

The Bulldogs clinched first place in Shore Conference Tournament Group 9 by defeating No. 13 Trinity Hall, 1-0. Freshman Jordyn Sullivan scored the game-winner in the first half off a pass from junior Aubrey Scoble.

Rumson faced their second Shore 16 team of the week in No. 9 Jackson Memorial on Saturday and won, 1-0, in double overtime. Junior Stella Saad scored the game-winner in the 99th minute of play for the Bulldogs. Senior Katie Walls posted her fourth and fifth shutouts of the season last week and her ability to keep Trinity Hall and Jackson Memorial scoreless earned her Class A Central Player of the Week.

For winning the fourth Team of the Week honor of the 2023 season, the Bulldogs will received a $250 Gift Card from Surf Taco.
