Class A South

No. 9 Toms River North 7, Central 6

Junior Dom Saldida highlighted a seven-run fourth inning that propelled the Mariners to a hard-fought win over the Golden Eagles.

Junior Ryan Baker and seniors Brandon Valles and Lucas Malave each added RBI singles in the fourth-inning outburst, which was the only scoring Toms River North produced in the game and the only offense it would need as well.

Valles battled through six innings to pick up his second win before junior Brandon Lavallee came on to close it out for his first save.

Senior Evan Agrapides carried the Central offense with two two-run doubles - one in the second and another in the fourth to help the Golden Eagles pull back within a run.
