Every week this season, Shore Conference lacrosse fans will have their chance to vote for the Shore Sports Network Boys Lacrosse Player of the Week on our website and select the top performance from the prior week.

In the first poll of the 2021 season, it was St. Rose senior attackman Brendan Dwyer who secured the most votes to be recognized as the Shore Sports Network Player of the Week.

Over the first week of the season, Dwyer led the Purple Roses' offense with nine goals and four assists to lead the team to a 3-0 start. He had four goals and two assists in a win over Neptune, two goals and one assist vs. Middletown North and three goals and an assist in a victory over Marlboro.

Dwyer then added five more goals early this week in a 15-1 win over Central Regional to give him 14 goals on the season. He scored 18 goals and totaled 28 points as a sophomore and is well on his way to surpassing both marks this season.

St. Rose will try to continue its strong start to the season when it takes on Colts Neck today, Jackson Liberty on Saturday and Red Bank Regional on Monday.

Dwyer was the top vote-getter with 39.25 percent of the votes to win over Red Bank's Harry Spencer, Wall's John McCurry and Brick Memorial's Darren Romaine.
