No. 3 Red Bank Catholic 2, No. 5 Toms River North 0

Senior Shane Panzini fired a two-hit shutout with 14 strikeouts and two walks and the Caseys scratched across enough offense to beat the Mariners.

Senior shortstop Sean Ettore broke a scoreless tie with a one-out RBI single to through the right side in the top of the fifth to plate freshman Sean Griggs. RBC added an insurance run in the top of the seventh on a two-out RBI single by Anthony Borriello, which also chased home Griggs. Toms River North senior Brandon Valles limited Red Bank Catholic to a pair of runs on six hits over seven innings while walking one and striking out five.
