No. 1 St. John Vianney 76, Matawan 10

Sophomore Madison Kocis scored a game-high 13 points for SJV as they pick up their first division win of the season. Junior Aleena Dinker scored 11 points and sophomore Stella Lockhart added 10 points for the Lady Lancers.

A South

Brick Memorial 46, Toms River North 25 -

Sophomore Liana Lapeno scored a career-high 16 points for Brick Memorial to led them in a Class A South win. Senior Lexi Caruso added 15 points for the Mustangs as they start the season 3-0. Sophomore Cara Sarluca led TRN with 10 points.

B Central

Donovan Catholic 55,  Jackson Liberty 13 -

Freshman Audrey Ernst scored a game-high 11 points for Donovan Catholic in a Class B Central match-up. Donovan Catholic had a balanced attack with 11 different players scoring.

B North

No. 2 Red Bank Catholic 73, Colts Neck 20 -

Sophomore Addy Nyemchek scored a career-high 20 points for the Caseys in a Class B North victory over Colts Neck. Sophomore Sophie Smith scored 11 points and junior Raquelle McMullin added 9 points for RBC. Colts Neck was led by senior Julianna Kowaleski with 8 points.

B South

No. 14 Manchester Township 68, Barnegat 28 -

Manchester made a statement against division rival Barnegat in a 40 point victory. Manchester defense for Barnegat to turn the ball over in the double digits in the first half to get out to a 43-11 lead at halftime. Manchester finished with 18 steals in the game. Senior Devyn Quigley scored a game-high 30 points for the Lady Hawks. Junior Emma Thornton had a team-high 18 points for Barnegat.

Non-Divisional

No. 7 Red Bank Regional 53, Marlboro 22 -

Senior Camryn Gardner scored 19 points to help RBR win their opening day game and to give Coach John Truhan his 100th win of his career at RBR. This is the third school he has won 100 games, previously done at Colts Neck and Central Regional. Sophomore Riley Wheeler added 11 points for RBR. Marlboro was led by junior Emily Borgen with 7 points.

Point Pleasant Beach 42, Lakewood 13

Senior Gina Umek led nine different Point Beach scorers with 10 points in a non-divisional win against Lakewood. Lauryn Case and Erin Frauenheim both added 9 points for the Garnet Gulls.

Toms River East 51, Brick Township 25

Senior Yana Shupak continues her good shooting to help TRE start the season 3-0. Shupak knocked down four three-pointers to finish with 19 points and Sydney Murphey added 11 points for TRE.  Junior Riley Nausedas scored 14 points for Brick Township.

Southern 54, Central Regional 31 -

Junior Casey Collins, who is averaging 20 points per game, scored a game-high 16 points to push Southern to 3-0 on the season. Senior Skylar Soltis scored 8 points and pulled down 14 rebounds for Southern. Junior Ava Schmidhauser scored a team-high 7 points for Central.

No. 15 Shore Regional 49, Henry Hudson 19 -

Shore Regional had three different players score double digits to pick up their first win of the season. Sophomore Ava Coyle scored a game-high 11 points and Kimi Sayson and Conley Smolokoff both added 10 points. Henry Hudson was led by senior Taylor Shearer with 8 points.

Monmouth 38,  Keansburg 26 -

Senior Mia Troese scored 14 points to help Monmouth to a 2-0 start on the season. Monmouth outscored Keansburg 21-8 in the first half and pulled down 26 rebounds in the game.

Toms River South 49, Pinelands 16 -

Freshman Linsey Cribbin continues her good start to the season, scoring 14 points to lead TRS to their second victory of the season. Meaghan Weatherstone and Madeline Krohn both scored 7 points for the Indians. Pinelands were led by senior Ava Slinchak with 9 points.

No. 3 Ocean Township 69, Keyport 26 -

Ocean Township won their second game of the year behind Eli Clark's game-high 15 points. Senior Gamila Betton and junior Kayden Clark both scored 12 points for the Spartans. Joli Willis, a sophomore for Ocean, scored 11 points in her first varisty game.  Sophomore Gia Aceta scored a team-high 10 points for Keyport.

No. 4 Trinity Hall 57, No. 8 Rumson-Fair Haven 38 -

Trinity Hall knocked down 12 three-pointers to win their first game of the season. Senior Nina Emnace scored a game-high 19 points for Trinity Hall who played their third straight ranked opponent. Sophomore Grace Feeney drained five three-pointers, finishing with 15 points. Junior Sylvie Notine had a team-high 13 points for Rumson and senior Ella Mason added 12 points.

Non-Conference

Colonia 53, Howell 50 - 

Howell had three different players score double digits in a three-point defeat. Senior Gabriella Bambo and sophomore BellaRose Marino both scored 13 points for Howell and junior Kiera McKown added 10 points. Senior Taylor Derkack led all scorers with 14 points for Colonia.

Lacey 42, Pilgram Academy 25 -

Senior Brooke Schmidt and sophomore Ava Schmidt both scored 10 points to help Lacey win their second game of the season. Junior Reece Paget added 5 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for Lacey.
