She Got Game Classic at St. John Vianney HS (Holmdel, NJ)

No. 2 Red Bank Catholic 62, Dr. Phillips (FL) 50

Red Bank Catholic earned their first win of the season against nationally a ranked Dr. Phillips (FL), 62-50. Sophomore Addy Nyemchek scored a team-high 17 points for the Caseys. Juniors Christina Liggio and Tessa Carman added 14 and 11 points. Dr. Phillips was led by Trinity Turner with 34 points.

At The Fort (Oceanport, NJ)

No. 14 Manchester 51, Pope John XXIII 37

Manchester could not overcome a 14-3 deficit in the first quarter to Pope John XXIII and lost their first game of the season 51-37. Devyn Quigley scored 22 for Manchester in the defeat.

No. 3 Manasquan 68, Monsignor McClancy (NY) 46

Manasquan outscored Monsignor McClancy 38 to 14 in the first half to win their second game of the season. Junior Grace Love scored 11 points and sophomore Jordyn Hollawell finished with 9 points to lead the Warriors. Manasquan knocked down 11 three-pointers throughout the game. 

Wildwood Catholic 34, No. 15 Shore Regional 27

A short handed Shore Regional dropped their second game of the season to Wildwood Catholic 35-27. Senior Conley Smolokoff had a game-high 12 points for the Blue Devils.

Blair Academy 56, No. 10 Ranney 43

No. 12 Point Pleasant Boro 39, Asbury Park 8

Juniors Ella Sachs and Vanessa Haas led 12 different Panthers in scoring with 6 points each as they cruised to a 39-8 victory over Asbury Park. 

Manalapan 54, Toms River South 31

Manalapan starts the season 2-0 eith senior Breannis Duran scoring 16 points against Toms River South. Junior Laila Hagan added 14 points and freshman Brianna Libretti has had a strong start to her career scoring 9 points against the Indians. TRS was led by junior Madeline Krohn with 10 points.

Howell 41, Brick Township 12

 

Southern Regional 47, Freehold Boro 31

Southern scored 19 points in the second quarter to get out to a 28-8 lead at halftime. Junior Casey Collins, who scored 25 points on opening night, led Southern with 17 points against Freehold Boro. Senior Skylar Soltis added 9 points and 9 grabbed 9 rebounds for Southern. Freshman Olivia Batchelor led Freehold Boro with 14 points.

 Toms River East, 51 Jackson Liberty 15

Senior Yana Shupak scored 14 points to lead Toms River East to their second victory of the season, defeating Jackson Liberty 51-15. The Raiders had seven players score 4 or more points against the Lions. Jackson Liberty was led by sophomore Sophia Porter with 12 points.

Middletown North 35, Raritan 23

 

Point Pleasant Beach 48, Pinelands 19

Junior Erin Frauenheim scored a game-high 23 points to help Point Beach win their first game of the season. Senior Lauryn Case added 10 points for the Garnet Gulls. Senior Ava Slinchak scored a team-high 15 points for Pinelands.

No. 11 Wall 62, Toms River North 24

Senior Shayne Eldridge scored 16 of her game-high 21 points in the first quarter as Wall defeated Toms River North. Senior Emily Tvrdik added 9 points and had 5 assists for the Lady Knights. The Mariners, who were missing senior Megan Sias, was led by sophomore Cara Sarluca with 11 points.

Keyport 26, Sayreville 23

 

Paterson Eastside 49, Neptune 35

Sophomore Alexis Chambers led Eastside with 19 points as they handed Neptune their first loss of the season. Freshman Lana Ellington led Neptune with 12 points and junior Christa Ramos pulled down 16 rebounds.

No. 16 Middletown South 48, Newark Lab 22

Middletown South had 11 different players score on their way to their first win of the season. Freshman Madison Lane and junior Amanda MacGregor led the Eagles with 9 points each. 

Brick Memorial 37, Robbinsville 25 - Sophomore Liana Lapeno scored a game-high 12 points to lead Brick Memorial to their second victory of the season. Senior Gianna Livio scored 9 points and Kayla Herzer, who had a block to seal the Mustangs opening night victory, added 6 points.

Henry Hudson 30, University Charter 12 - Senior Taylor Shearer scored 14 points for Henry Hudson as they won their first game of the season 30-12 against University Charter.
