Colonial Division

Manalapan 13, Red Bank Catholic 7

Senior attackman Christian Zdziarski recorded his 100th career point with three goals and two assists and sophomore goalie Connor Doel made 14 stops to reach 200 career saves as the Braves (6-1, 4-0) topped the Casys (5-6, 3-2) to retain their spot atop the division standings.

Senior midfielder Anthony Macchio also had a five-point game with two goals and three assists and junior midfielder Matt Avivi tallied three goals and one assist. Junior attackman Jake Schatz had a goal and two assists, senior attackman Michael Bonner scored twice, and senior midfielder Marc Stefanelli and freshman Eli Greenberg each scored once.

Sophomore midfielder Frank Tackett led RBC with four goals and one assist while senior midfielder Brian Vecchio won 18 of 24 face-offs and picked up 13 ground balls. Senior attackman Jackson Lu had two goals and one assist, senior attackman Peter Villare scored once, and senior goalie Gianvito Violamade 12 saves. Senior defenseman Logan Graham collected eight ground balls.

 

Constitution Division

Colts Neck 16, Marlboro 2

Senior Luke Ferraro posted a career-high eight points with three goals and five assists to power the Cougars (4-4, 4-2) to a victory over the Mustangs (3-7, 2-4).

Tyler Bowden added two goals and four assists and senior Luke Petino had a goal and three assists. Jayden Molina, Ethan Soane, and Tesio Carabello each scored twice while Brent DeThomasis had a goal and an assist. Junior Lucas Connolly and sophomore Christian Casatelli scored their first varsity goals and senior Chris Dalby also scored once. Senior Marco Garcia went 9-for-12 on face-offs.

Senior goalie Aaron Nasimov made six saves and sophomore Max Visoky made one save in his varsity debut.

Point Boro 18, Lacey 6

Junior attackman Brady Kirk scored five goals and assisted on six more and senior midfielder Greyson Ritter scored four goals as the Panthers (8-2) had 10 different goal scorers in their win over the Lions (4-7).

Senior midfielder Gavin Reid scored twice, senior midfielders Matt Woit and Robert Trapanese had a goal and two assists each, and senior goalies Colin Cole and Daniel Torres each made five saves. Junior midfielder Andrew Michigan, senior Braeden Girkesh, freshman Matt Prendeville, freshman Colton Stecchini, and freshman Blake Engelken all scored their first varsity goals with Engelken also going 14-for-20 on face-offs. Senior LSM Dennis Glynn picked up a team-high nine ground balls.

Point Boro has now won six games in a row.

 

Nonconference

Manhasset (NY) 7, Rumson-Fair Haven 6 (OT)

The Bulldogs suffered their first loss of the season during a wild game between two of the top teams in the tri-state area.

According to coverage by Dan Aburn of Inside Lacrosse, Rumson (10-1) was leading 6-5 with 17 seconds left in regulation when Manhasset executed a full-field clear and put a shot on goal that was saved. Manhasset then grabbed the ensuing ground ball and scored with 1.1 seconds left to send the game to overtime. In the extra period, a Manhasset player took a shot that hit the post and deflected directly back to him, and his second shot attempt found the back of the net to give the Indians the dramatic victory.

Rumson led 2-1 after the first quarter. The game was tied 2-2 at halftime and 3-3 after the third quarter.
