Toms River North entered our Jersey Mike's Game of the Week with a flawless 4-0 record including two wins in American Division match-ups. The Mariners were set to play host to Red Bank Catholic, a defending state champion who had started off their season 2-2 while getting outscored 57-49. TRN was a unanimous selection in the weekly Bum Rogers Crabhouse Picks, but RBC played with a collective chip on their shoulders Friday night in their 21-6 upset victory over Toms River North. The Caseys took a 13-0 lead into halftime and scored early in the 3rd quarter to take a commanding 21-0 lead. The Mariners did manage to avoid a shutout, as junior RB Jordan Grey found the end zone on a 46-yard rush midway through the 4th quarter. Red Bank Catholic improved to 3-2 (2-2) on the season while Toms River North fell to 4-1 (2-1). TRN will hope to rebound quickly when they travel to The Swamp to play 1-3 (1-2) Middletown South in our next Jersey Mike's Game of the Week this Friday. RBC, meanwhile, has a bye week and will not be in action until Friday, October 18th when they travel to Manalapan.

Special congratulations to our Ocean Trophies Player of the Game, Red Bank Catholic junior QB and S Anthony Borriello. Borriello contributed in all facets of the game on Friday night and helped lead the Caseys to the victory.
