Class A South

Central 4, No. 1 Jackson Memorial 3

Senior Jack Santora and sophomore Evan Agrapides each had a run-scoring single in Central's four-run fifth inning and junior Dan Greene overcame trouble in the seventh to close out a complete-game victory as the Golden Eagles stunned the No. 1 Jaguars.

Junior Christian Pellone doubled home junior Matt Feld with two out to cut Central's lead to 4-3 in the top of the seventh and give senior Ahmir Cournier a chance to tie the game with a base hit. Cournier entered Thursday hitting .600 (21-for-35) on the season but Greene got the Jaguars shortstop to pop out to on the infield to end the game.
