The following is a joint statement from Lakewood BlueClaws President/General Manager Joe Ricciutti and Trenton Thunder Chief Operating Officer/General Manager Jeff Hurley.

As the two team presidents of New Jersey’s Minor League Baseball teams, we wanted to address you directly during these very difficult times.

At some point, we will be able to get together with our friends, families, and colleagues again and resume being “together.” That’s what makes us a community. And when we do, we look forward to welcoming you back to FirstEnergy Park and ARM & HAMMER Park.

Our ballparks have always been places where you can go to escape the “real world” for a little while. Unfortunately, every now and then, the “real world” makes that challenging, and for the moment, impossible.

Our teams have always been part of the fabric of our communities, and that’s not going to change when this is over.

Meanwhile, we’re not going anywhere. Be sure to check our websites and social media channels for updates and, to the best of our ability, entertainment during this trying time.

To our doctors, nurses, and first responders, thank you. To our fans, be safe, be healthy, and we’ll see you soon.
