Two teams vying for at least a share of the Class “A South” title meet Friday night in the Shore Sports Network’s Jersey Mike’s Game of the Week on 92.7 WOBM and Beach Radio 1160/1310AM as Jackson Memorial visits Brick Memorial.

While the game is important to both teams in terms of the NJSIAA Playoffs only the host Mustangs control their destiny when it comes to the division race and title. If Brick Memorial wins they will clinch at least a share of the “A South” crown. It will be a co-championship if Central beats Toms River North and there is the possibility of a three or even four-way tie if the visiting Jaguars beat Brick Memorial, Central losses and Brick defeats Toms River East.

Brick Memorial (6-2) currently sits second in the Central Jersey Group 4 section with Jackson (5-3) in the number six spot. It is possible the two teams could meet again in the opening round of the NJSIAA playoffs on November 10. Long Branch, Freehold, Middletown South and Middletown North are all alive to be part of the eight-team bracket and the Green Wave could vault all the way to the top spot with a win over Freehold on Friday night.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. with Matt Harmon, Kevin Williams and Ed Sarluca calling all the action from DeFabio Field. The game can also be heard on shoresportsnetwork.com and on your smart phone by downloading the free Shore Sports Network mobile app.
