Girls Basketball Ocean County Week 5 Player of the Week

The Basketball Player of the Week has been a staple of Shore Sports Network's coverage over the years and we have always left it up to the fans to decide the winner -- and still do. Now, SSN is recognizing its own choices for Player of the Week, not just in the Shore Conference, but in Monmouth and Ocean Counties individually.

Ocean County’s Week 5 Player of the Week Presented by AOSMI

Madeline Nolan, Manchester Township

Nolan helped Manchester win two games last week that put them into the top ten of the Shore 16 rankings. She averaged 15.5 points, 3 rebounds and 2.5 steals a game to be named Ocean County Player of the Week.

In a win over Toms River North she filled every stat category. She scored 15 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and had 3 assists, blocks and steals.

Nolan followed that with 16 points and two steals to help Manchester defeat No. 9 Howell 45-33. She went 6 out of 8 from the foul-line and help sealed the game for Manchester in crunch time.

Each Ocean County Player of the Week will receive a $10 gift card courtesy of Surf Taco.
