Girls NJSIAA Tournament of Champions semifinals

At Pine Belt Arena

(1) Manasquan 62, (4) Franklin 52

Senior Marina Mabrey poured in a game-high 32 points and had 10 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals and 2 blocks, and sophomore center Victoria Galvan added 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Warriors (28-4) advanced to the TOC final for the second straight season with a win over Group IV champion Franklin (24-6).

Manasquan will play St. Rose, which it has split two games with this season, in the TOC final at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.

Manasquan led 42-40 after three quarters before blowing the game open with an 18-3 run to take a 60-43 lead and put the game away. Mary Trossi had 17 points to lead Franklin, and Adreana Miller added 16 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

(2) St. Rose 47, (3) St. John Vianney 43

Freshman guard Makayla Markham hit a huge go-ahead 3-pointer with 48 seconds left in the game to put the Purple Roses (32-1) up by a point, and sisters Jess and Jen Louro combined for three free throws to ice the win over the Lancers (26-4) and send the Purple Roses to the TOC final.

St. Rose will face Manasquan, which it beat in the regular season and lost to in the Shore Conference Tournament final, in its first appearance in the TOC championship game at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton.

Jess Louro finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists, freshman forward Elizabeth Marsicano added 8 points and 8 rebounds, and senior guard Kat Phipps chipped in eight points for St. Rose.

Junior point guard Kelly Campbell led St. John Vianney with 12 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds, and Gigi Caponegro added 9 points and 8 rebounds.
