(12) Freehold Township 45, (5) East Brunswick 37

Freehold Township upset East Brunswick by outscoring them 18-9 in the 4th quarter to close out the game. Three players scored in double-digits with junior Gaby Parker scoring a game-high 14 points. Sophomore Madison Sciarrino knocked down three 3-pointers to score 12 points and Chloe Glickman added 11 points for the Patriots.

(4) Jackson Memorial 54, (13) West Windsor-Plainsboro North 32

(3) Monroe 53, (14) Long Branch 32

Senior Hailey Cottrell scored a game-high 21 points to help Monroe advance into the quarterfinal round. Junior Leomary Diaz-Merino scored a team-high 20 points for Long Branch.

(6) South Brunswick 69, (11) Northern Burlington 45

(10) Middletown South 62, (7) Princeton 57

Middletown South overcame a six point deficit in the second half to defeat Princeton. Junior Caitlin Whyte scored a career-hgih 25 points for the Lady Eagles and Erin Mayerhofer and Cassidy Brown both added 10 points.

(2) Howell 55, (15) West Windsor-Plainsboro South 11

Howell kept WWPS scoreless in the 3rd quarter to pull away and advance into the CJG4 quarterfinals. Three players scored double-digits with Kiera McKown scoring a game-high 17 points. Freshman Kylee Beam and sophomore Veronica Nieves both added 11 points for Howell. The Rebels will host Middletown South on Monday.

 

 

Central Jersey Group II

(1) New Providence 63, (16) Point Pleasant Boro 28

(9) South River at (8) Delaware Valley; 7 p.m.

(1(5) Wall 73, (12) Bound Brook 38

Wall outscored Bound Brook 22-9 in the 1st quarter and 20-5 in the second quarter to build a 28 point lead at halftime. Senior Emily Tvrdik scored a game-hgih 17 points and Shayne Eldridge and Aileen Carr added 12 points each.

(4) Voorhees 50, (13) Roselle 19

(3) Rumson-Fair Haven 51, (14) Johnson 27

Rumson outscored Johnson 16-6 to start the second half to advance into the CJG2 quarterfinal round. Junior Sylvie Notine scored a game-high 15 points and seniors Ella Mason and Raquel Guidetti both added 11 points for Rumson. Rumson will host (11) Holmdel on Monday.

(11) Holmdel 71, (6) Spotswood 50 

Holmdel outscored Spotswood 23-8 in the 2nd quarter to advance into the quarterfinal round where they will face Rumson on Monday. Senior Allison Cannon posted a double-double with 24 points and 10 assists for Holmdel. Junior Mackenzie Teevan had 15 poitns and 12 rebounds and Michelle Steele added 10 points for Holmdel.

South Jersey Group IV

(1) Williamstown 66, (16) Kingsway 46

(9) Toms River East 37, (8) Atlantic Tech 24

TRE outscored built a 10 point lead at halftime and held on to advance into the SJGIV quarterfinal round where they will face top seeded Williamstown on Monday. Senior Sydney Murphy scored a game-high 11 points and Kaleigh Fitzgibbons added 10 points for TRE.

(12) Gloucester Tech at (5) Washington Twp; 5:30 p.m.

(4) Egg Harbor 37, (13) Cherry Hill East 23

(3) Cherokee 44, (14) Toms River North 28

Cherokee outscored TRN 18-2 in the 3rd quarter to open up the game and advance into the quarterfinal round of SJGIV. Senior Megan Sias scored 10 points in her final game for TRN. Brielle Alba and Abby Ball both scored 14 points for Cherokee.

(3) Manchester Township 77, (14) Overbrook 43

Senior Devyn Quigley scored a game-high 35 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to help Manchester advance into the quarterfinal round in SJG2. Quigley needed exactly 35 points to become the all-time leading scorer in Shore Conference history with 2,589 points. Senior Zahaisha Nevius scored a team-high 23-points for Overbook. Manchester will host Lower Cape May on Monday.
