Central Jersey Group III

(1) Ewing 88, (16) Allentown 42

(8) Colts Neck 38, (9) Hopewell Valley 26

Colts Neck outscored Hopewell Valley 10-4 in the 2nd quarter after trailing by four points at the end of 1st quarter and did not look back. Senior Savannah Butz scored a game-high 19 points and Julianna Kowaleski added 13 points for Colts Neck.

(12) Carteret 50, (5) Robbinsville 45

(4) Red Bank Regional 68, (13) Freehold Boro 36

RBR jumped out to a 27-3 lead at the end of the 1st quarter to advance into the CJG3 quarterfinal round. Sophomores Zoe Gulley and Riley Wheeler combined for seven 3-pointers and both scored 15 points for the Bucs. Junior Christina Sikaras scored a team-high 14 points for Freehold Boro.

(3) Somerville 57, (14) South Plainfield 28

(6) Neptune 43 (11) Middletown North 21

Neptune outscored Middletown North 15-3 in the 3rd quarter to seal the first round victory. Senior Jocelyn Jackson scored a game-high 19 points for Neptune. They will travel to Somerville on Tuesday in the quarterfinal round.

(10) Brick Memorial 44, (7) Steinert 35

Brick Memorial outscored Steinert 18-6 in the 4th quarter to advance into the quarterfinal round of CJG3. Senior Kayla Herzer scored a game-high 17 points for the Mustangs.

(2) Ocean Township 64, (15) Brick Township 35

Ocean had four different players score in double-digits as they start their road to return to the CJG3 final.  Junior Kayden Clark scored a game-high 17 points and Gamila Betton added 16 points for Ocean. Brick was led by Riley Nausedas with 15 points.

 

Central Jersey Group I

(8) South Hunterdon 54, (9) Keansburg 42 

(5) Manville 44, (12) Henry Hudson 28

(4) Point Pleasant Beach 43, (13) South Amboy 16

Point Beach got out to a 20-2 lead in the 1st quarter to defeat South Amboy and advance into the CJGI quarterfinals. Junior Erin Frauenheim scored a game-high 14 points and Kaitlyn Hard added 11 points for the Garnet Gulls.

3) Shore Regional 78, (14) Florence 24

Junior Reese Fiore scored a career-high 26 points to help Shore move one step closer to their third straight CJGI title. Sophomore Ava Coyle scored 12 points and Conley Smolokoff added 10 points for Shore.

(11) Perth Amboy Magnet at (6) Highland Park; 5 p.m.
