Football: Red Bank Regional Expected to Hire Shane Fallon as Head Coach
Shane Fallon is heading back to Ridge Road
Fallon, a former state championship head coach at Rumson-Fair Haven, is up for approval tonight as a health and physical education teacher and the new head football coach at Red Bank Regional, according to the public agenda posted to the Red Bank Regional High School District website.
Fallon was the head coach at Neptune last season when the Scarlet Fliers went 2-5. He was previously the athletic director at Holmdel High School from 2015-2020.
A former star quarterback at Rumson, Fallon built the Bulldogs into a championship program between 1998-2012. He went 106-51 in his 15 years at RFH and led the Bulldogs to a state sectional championship in 2010 along with two other finals appearances and four division titles.
Fallon has a long history with Red Bank Regional. His father, George, was a physical education teacher and an assistant football coach at Red Bank from 1975-1979. He was then the school’s athletic director for 20 years from 1980 to 2000.
Fallon replaces David Schuman, who was Red Bank’s head coach for two seasons before stepping down in March. He went 9-8 and led the Bucs to the Central Jersey Group 2 semifinals in 2019.
