He is Toms River’s favorite son when it comes to baseball and has performed on a grand stage since he was 12 years old. Now for the first time since he played at Rutgers Todd Frazier can truly call New Jersey home during the baseball season…well at least for the next 2-3 months. The 31-year old graduate of Toms River High School South was traded to the New York Yankees from the Chicago White Sox on July 18 and thrust right into the middle of a pennant race. Playing in the Bronx also means he’s only 80 miles from his Toms River home…a real bonus for family and friends.

Now that things have quieted down after a hectic couple of weeks I caught up with one of several new members of baseball’s most storied franchise.
