CLASS A NORTH
No. 2 CBA 13, Marlboro 1
Senior attackman Connor Macrae scored a game-high six goals and dished out two assists to lead the Colts (3-3, 3-0) past the Mustangs (1-2, 1-1).
Dan Martin and Michael Sabol each added two goals and one assist while Kyle Aldridge and Chris Romano had a goal and an assist each. John Emilio scored once and C.J. Cummings made two saves.
Matt Weber scored once and Bryden Deleany made 10 saves for Marlboro.
CLASS A SOUTH
No. 6 Southern 13, Jackson Liberty 3
Junior Cade Johnson scored six goals and junior Aaron Hutchinson tallied a hat trick as the Rams (3-2, 3-2) remained unbeaten in A South with a victory over the Lions (2-3, 1-2).
Ajani Steverson added two goals and one assist, Ryan Sininsky had a goal and three assists and Nick Stankus had one goal and one assist. Will Devane chipped in with two assists. Luke Maul (six saves), Gio Soto (three saves) and Tyler Sininsky (two saves) split time in goal.
Nick Labianca led Jackson Liberty with two goals while Jake Bosco had one goal and one assist. Chris Longo made 14 saves.
CLASS B NORTH
No. 10 St. John Vianney 20, Red Bank Catholic 12
Anthony Brett, Andrew Gosse, C.J. Hanson and Mike D'Anzeri all had big games to lead the Lancers (5-1, 2-0) to a victory over the rival Caseys (2-3, 0-3).
Gosse scored a game-high six goals, dished out two assists and also picked up 10 ground balls. Brett scored four goals, assisted on two goals, picked up 17 ground balls and won 8 of 12 face-offs. Hanson, the Lancers' former goalie and 6-foot-5, 300-pound Rutgers football signee, continues to be a revelation on the attack line and scored four more goals. D'Anzeri also scored four goals and added one assist. Nick Caruti chipped in with two goals while defenseman Kyle Harris had one assist and collected 11 ground balls.
Not to be outdone was goalie Zach Schiavone, who made a whopping 23 saves to earn the win in goal.
Jack Zenkert scored five goals with two assists to lead Red Bank Catholic. Anthony Muniz had a hat trick, Ryan Schellin notched two goals and one assist and Brennan Frederick and Kyle Boggio each scored once. Declan Grigg made 14 saves.
NONDIVISIONAL
No. 8 Wall 12, No. 5 Freehold Township 10
Sophomore Logan Peters fired in four goals and added four assists as the Crimson Knights (4-1) rallied for a win over the Patriots (3-3) in a Top 10 showdown. Freehold Township led 5-1 after the first quarter before Wall scored eight times in the second quarter to take a 9-6 halftime lead.
Ethan Doyle had a hat trick, Matt Dollive recorded a goal and four assists and Kyle Wenzel scored a goal and won 15 of 26 face-offs. Ryan Brice added two goals, John Knight scored once and Dan Burns had two assists. Sean DeMott backstopped the victory by making 12 saves.
Matt Kondrup had three goals and one assist and Jake Liebross also had a hat trick to lead Freehold Township. Brendan Doel added one goal and two assists, Matt Madonna and Kyle Von Nessen each had a goal and an assist and Evan Nastarowicz scored once. Aidan Purcell made six saves.
No. 4 Shore 14, Toms River North 2
After leading 5-1 at halftime, the Blue Devils (4-0) scored eight times in the third quarter to blow open the game and cruise to a victory over the Mariners (2-2). Jake Turner led Shore's offense with five goals and one assist while Tom Bocco had four goals and one assist.
Gil Goldsmith added a goal and four assists, Justin Murphy scored twice, Jamie Mazzacco had a goal and two assists, Nick Crochet scored once and Jack McCrae delivered three assists. Sean O'Brien went 14-for-20 on face-offs and Scott Sirianni made five saves.
Brett Singer and Cody Kromer each scored once and Dan Casadonte made 11 saves for Toms River North.
No. 7 Middletown South 16, St. Rose 4
Jason Allen tallied four goals and one assist and Connor Ard notched three goals and one assist as the Eagles (6-0) won their sixth straight game to start the season.
Carter Lenhard also had a hat trick while Matt Tardy had two goals and one assist. Chris Lucyk, Luke Platzke, Ryan Poulsen and Tyler Wishniewski each scored once and Shane Murphy made three saves.
Jackson Memorial 7, Middletown North 5
Sophomore midfielder Drew Walenty led a balanced scoring attack with two goals and one assist as the Jaguars (4-1) held off the Lions (3-3).
Sean Laverty added one goal and one assist and Chad Szatkowski made 13 saves. Joe Iacobone, Santo Porazzo, Matt DeRosa and Braedon Kukan each scored once and Nick Perillo had four assists.
Howell 13, Brick Memorial 7
Logan Dennison posted a career-high eight points with three goals and five assists and Jason Caston scored his first career goal as the Rebels (4-1) pulled away from the Mustangs (2-4).
Tied 3-3 at halftime, Howell went on a nine-goal ran to take a 12-3 lead and put the game away. James Fay added four goals, Joey Sorrentino had a hat trick and Vaughn Meehan had a goal and three assists. Doug MacKenzie scored once and Jared Jablonski made 10 saves.
Ian Thomas had a hat trick and Matt Ingenito had two goals and one assist for Brick Memorial. Jarred Crippen added one goal and one assist, Rex Freeman scored once and Jake White made 12 saves.
Lacey 12, Brick 6
Senior attackman Dylan Vitale scored five goals and added two assists and senior midfielder Chris Augustine scored four goals to power the Lions (4-0) to a victory over the Dragons (1-5).
Dylan Waltonowski added two goals and four assists while Ryan Giles added one goal and one assist. Gustavo Baxes made six saves in goal to pick up the win.
Red Bank 8, Toms River South 7
Ryan McGee scored twice and Matt Gibson made 11 saves to lead the Bucs (4-2) to a win over the Indians (1-5).
Tor Haugenes added one goal and two assists while A.J. Abarno, Brady Gilmartin and Matt Lynch each tallied one goal and one assist. Nick Walsack and Nick Weitz each scored once and Weitz also had a big day face-off X by winning 12 of 16 draws and picking up eight ground balls.
Corey Snyder had a hat trick to lead Toms River South. Andrew Xiques had a goal and three assists, Mark Bish had a goal and two assists and Drew Gisinger and Casey Jacoby each scored once.
Point Boro 15, Neptune 7
Cormac McCabe had a career day with seven goals and two assists to power the Panthers (4-2) to a win over the Scarlet Fliers (0-6). The seven goals and nine points are both single-game career highs for McCabe.
Aiden Kirk scored once and dished out 10 assists while also going 9-for-10 on face-offs. T.J. Palazzo added three goals and two assists, Ben Williams had two goals and one assist and Colby Biggs also scored twice. Park Roncin made 11 saves. Williams and John Meyer each picked up a team-high six ground balls.
Kevin Clohosey scored four goals to lead the way for Neptune while Jared Popalowski, Logan Brown and Ryan Gannon each scored once.
Barnegat 12, Long Branch 0
Tristan Porcelli sank four goals with one assist and Brian Corliss made seven saves as the Bengals (1-5) blanked the Green Wave (0-5) to pick up their first win of the season.
Jacob Schleicher had a hat trick, Bryan Snowden tallied two goals and two assists, John Porcelli notched two goals and one assist and Tyler Quinn recorded one goal and one assist.
