SHORE CONFERENCE TOURNAMENT

Semifinals

At Long Branch HS

1-Manasquan 14, 4-Rumson-Fair Haven 4

Senior attackman Ryan Anderson scored six goals and added two assists and Mike LaPoint made five saves to backstop and stellar defensive effort as the Warriors (16-0) surged past the Bulldogs (11-9) to reach their fourth straight SCT final.

Rumson had grabbed a 3-2 lead late in the first quarter on an EMO goal by Drew Shaw, but Ryan Anderson and Casey Mulligan sank goals in the final 16 seconds to give Manasquan a 4-3 lead. The Warriors never looked, scoring nine more times before Rumson would score again for an 11-goal run that put the game away.

Senior attackman Canyon Birch scored three goals and added two assists, sophomore attackman Casey Mulligan also scored three times and freshman midfielder Robert Pendergist scored twice.

Shaw, Kiel Forlenza, Rowan Goldin and Luke Devlin scored goals for Rumson.

Manasquan will play CBA in the SCT final at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Monmouth University.

2-CBA 8, 3-Shore 7

Sophomore midfielder Kyle Aldridge scored the go-ahead goal with 3:14 left in regulation to lift the Colts (11-5) to a thrilling victory over the Blue Devils (13-1) in a tremendous back and forth game.

Aldridge finished with three goals and one assist while senior attackman Connor Macrae scored twice and Dan Martin, Patrick Convery and Terrance Lacewell (first career goal) each scored once. Noah D'Andrea made seven saves and sophomore Jared Lucich had a big game at face-off X by winning 14 of 19 draws.

Jack McCrae scored three times, Gil Goldsmith scored twice and Jake Turner assisted on six goals to lead Shore. Justin Murphy and Tom Bocco each scored once and Scott Sirianni made eight saves.

CBA led 6-5 going into the fourth quarter but had a player called for an illegal stick during the third-quarter stick check. A three-minute non-releasable penalty was issued, and it took Shore just seven seconds to net the equalizer when Bocco scored off a pass from Turner. Lucich was able to win the ensuing face-off, however, and CBA killed off the final 2:43 of the penalty.

Just 46 seconds later, Lacewell scored to give CBA a 7-6 lead. Shore responded with 5:06 left when McCrae scored off a pass from Turner to tie the game at seven.

CBA will play Manasquan in the SCT final at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Monmouth University.
