Returning 2023 Shore Conference Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Shore boys lacrosse players

FIRST TEAM

Andy Croddick, Sr., Midfield, Rumson-Fair Haven

A Colgate commit, Croddick is the Bulldogs’ leading returning goal scorer after netting 40 goals and eight assists last season to help Rumson claim its third straight Shore Conference Tournament crown and win its second straight state title. He was at his best in RFH’s biggest games, including 11 goals during the team’s run to the NJSIAA Group 1 championship.

Kyle Capodanno, Sr., Defense, Manasquan

Capodanno was the lone junior voted as a First Team All-Shore defenseman by the Shore Conference Lacrosse Coaches Association. The Bryant University commit helped lead a Manasquan defense that allowed just five goals per game as the Warriors reached both the Shore Conference Tournament final and the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 sectional final.

Nick Bounassi, Sr., Goalie, Manasquan

Aggressive and athletic, Bounassi was a superb last line of defense for Manasquan during his first year as the Warriors’ starter, posting a 63% save percentage with 175 saves for a team that allowed just five goals per game. After helping Manasquan reach the championship game in the Shore Conference Tournament and the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 bracket, the High Point commit returns as one of New Jersey’s best goalies.

SECOND TEAM

Andrew Pape, Sr., Midfield/Attack, Red Bank

Pape played mostly attack last season when he scored 33 goals and added 23 assists for 56 points, but with the graduation of standout midfielders Henry Spencer and Ryder Villani, Pape will patrol the midfield more often during his senior season. The Boston University commit enters the year with 165 career points.

Grayson Goldin, Jr., Midfield, Rumson-Fair Haven

Goldin tallied 24 goals and 11 assists during his sophomore season playing on the attack line. He’ll slide to midfield this season and look to build off a strong year in which he helped the Bulldogs win the Shore Conference Tournament title for the third year in a row and secure a second straight state championship.

Will Madden, Sr., Attack, Wall

Madden sank 28 goals and added 17 assists for 45 points during Wall’s historic 2023 season in which the Crimson Knights defeated arch-rival Manasquan to win their first state sectional title and also advanced to the Shore Conference Tournament final for the first time. Madden is 23 points shy of 100 for his career and is committed to Monmouth University.

Shea Brennan, Sr., Attack, Wall

Brennan was outstanding for Wall during his junior season with 54 goals and 31 assists for 85 points, giving the Crimson Knights a reliably dangerous option behind 140-point scorer John McCurry. With McCurry having graduated, Brennan leads the way for a Wall team looking to build off the best season in program history when it won its first sectional title and reached its first Shore Conference Tournament championship game. Brennan played primarily in the midfield last season and will move up to the attack line this year. He has 72 goals and 44 assists in his career.

Troy Monte, Sr., Defense, Rumson-Fair Haven

The 6-foot-3 standout defender committed to Bucknell in October after helping Rumson win its third consecutive Shore Conference Tournament title and its second straight state championship. His play was a major reason why Rumson went 21-4 and allowed just 4.5 goals per game.

Hoarle’s excellence as the face-off X helped Wall win the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 sectional title for the first time in program history and reach the SCT title game for the first time. He posted a 66% winning percentage on draws and was tied for second in the Shore with 217 ground balls. Hoarle also added plenty of offense to his game as a sophomore with 18 goals and 23 assists.
