Red Bank 20, Neptune 5

 

NONDIVISIONAL

No. 1 Manasquan 15, No. 2 CBA 4

The top-ranked Warriors (4-0) left no doubt regarding their status as the best team in the Shore Conference by pulling ahead early and cruising past the visiting Colts (2-3).

Senior attackman Ryan Anderson scored a game-high five goals and senior attackman Canyon Birch recorded four goals and one assist to pace the offense while Jack Fabean, Mike Page, Tommy Shaughnessy and Mike Farrell spearheaded a staunch defensive effort in front of goalie Mike LaPoint (six saves). Sophomore attackman Casey Mulligan added three goals and one assist and James Pendergist, Casey Campbell and Matt Franzoni each scored once.

Connor Macrae, Kyle Aldridge and Dan Martin each had a goal and an assist and Mike DeRosa scored once for CBA. Noah D'Andrea made 10 saves.

CBA scored the first goal of the game but Manasquan scored the next seven to open a lead it would not relinquish. The Warriors pushed their advantage to 10-2 at halftime and 12-4 three quarters.

 

No. 5 Freehold Township 11, Jackson Memorial 6

Junior attackman Brendan Doel scored four goals with one assist and senior midfielder Nick Elimanco tallied two goals and two assists as the Patriots (3-2) handed the Jaguars (3-1) their first loss of the season.

Jake Liebross finished with two goals and one assist and Matt Kondrup also scored twice. Matt Madonna scored once and Aidan Purcell made six saves.

Senior attackman Santo Porazzo and freshman midfielder Matt DeRosa each scored twice to lead Jackson Memorial. Drew Walenty and Joe DeRosa each scored once and Chad Szatkowski made seven saves.

 

No. 8 Wall 16, Brick 6

Sophomore Logan Peters scored seven goals and added three assists and Ethan Doyle notched four goals and two assists to fuel the Crimson Knights (3-1) in their win over the Dragons (1-4).

Ryan Brice added two goals and one assist, defenseman Shane Meyler also scored twice, and Matt Dollive had a goal and three assists. Sean DeMott made seven saves.

 

Howell 10, Jackson Liberty 4

Jared Badillo recorded a hat trick and Jared Jablonski made 11 saves to lead the Rebels (3-1) past the Lions (2-2).

Anthony Cinelli added two goals and Vaughn Meehan, Logan Dennison and James Fay each had one goal and one assist. Senior Austin Freer and freshman Vincent Burns each scored their first career goals.

 

Toms River East 12, Barnegat 2

Junior midfielder Mike Gray scored three goals and added four assists and junior midfielder Alex Smith scored three times to lead the Raiders (1-3) past the Bengals (0-5) for their first win of the season.

Senior attackman Ryan McIntire added two goals and two assists and junior attackman Frankie Giannetti also scored twice. Senior midfielder Patrick Keogh tallied a goal and three assists and sophomore attackman Collin Meakem scored once.

 

Holmdel 5, Toms River North 4

The Hornets (3-2) opened a 4-0 halftime lead and held on to deal the Mariners (2-1) their first loss of the season. Senior Dan Tempone scored three goals and added one assist and Kyle Kapcsos had one goal and two assists. Tom Ilvento scored once and Nick Tuccillo had another big game in goal with 14 saves.

 

Red Bank Catholic 14, Donovan Catholic 7

Junior attackman Jack Zenkert tallied five goals and two assists to reach 100 career goals and lead the Caseys (2-2) past the Griffins (0-4).

Zenkert reached the 100-goal milestone with his third goal of the game before adding two more. Ryan Schellin scored four goals with one assist, Anthony Muniz and Brennan Frederick scored twice and Kyle Harms scored once. Luke Gueci collected a game-high nine ground balls while Sean Wosleger picked up seven ground balls. Declan Grigg made 11 saves to earn the win.

Andrew Schlendorf had a hat trick while Trevor Barber had two goals and two assists and went 20-for-25 on face-offs to lead Donovan Catholic. Daniel Murphy scored twice, Will Duddy had two assists and Peter Rao made 10 saves.

NONCONFERENCE

Brick Memorial 9, West Windsor-Plainsboro South 7

Chris Marks scored a team-high four goals and Jake White made 12 saves as the Mustangs (2-3) traveled west and returned with a victory over the Pirates.

Rex Freeman added two goals and two assists and Ian Thomas had two goals and one assist. Darren Romaine chipped in with one goal and one assist and Jared Crippen had two assists. Thomas Swartwout collected a game-high 12 ground balls and Kyle Mueller went 13-for-20 on face-offs.

 

Bishop Ahr at No. 7 Middletown South - canceled
