Every week this season, Shore Conference wrestling fans will have their chance to vote for the Big Frog of Monmouth Shore Conference Wrestler of the Week on our website.

The winner of the Week 7 (NJSIAA Team Tournament) readers' vote for the Shore Conference Wrestler of the Week is Lacey freshman Vincent Ceglie who went 3-0 to help the Lions reach the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 final.

Ceglie was not only undefeated during the week, he won by fall in all three of his bouts. He pinned Lakewood's Angel Gonzelez in the first period during the Lions' win in the sectional quarterfinals, and his pin of Gateway's Alex Parker midway through the second period clinched Lacey's thrilling 33-32 win over the Gators in the semifinals. He also won by fall over Delsea's Matthew Kratzer in the sectional final, but the Lions fell to the eventual Group 3 finalist Crusaders.

Being a freshman at an upper weight is no easy task, but Ceglie has performed well at 195 pounds in his inaugural high school season. He is now 21-10 on the season entering the NJSIAA Region Tournament and is coming off a run to the District 27 195-pound title where he defeated Haddonfield's Gabriel Klaus, a returning district champ, in the district championship bout.

Ceglie won the poll with 33.37 percent of the votes in a close three-man race with Shore's Brad Smuro and Long Branch's Dan Santos-Silva.
