Girls final

(2) Manasquan 69, (1) St. Rose 60

Senior Marina Mabrey scored 24 of her game-high 29 points in the second half and the Warriors (23-2) beat the Purple Roses in SCT final for the second straight year, handing St. Rose (26-1) its first loss of the season. Mabrey scored 17 points in the third quarter, during which Manasquan outscored St. Rose 26-16.

Mabrey also added eight rebounds, four assists and three steals while combining with her younger sister, freshman Dara, to defend St. Rose guard Kat Phipps and hold her to 10 points on 3-for-5 shooting. Phipps scored 34 and hit a game-winning shot with 18 seconds left in St. Rose's 60-57 regular-season in over Manasquan on Feb. 14.

Junior Gillian Black added 11 points off the bench for Manasquan while senior Courtney Hagaman scored seven of her 10 points in the first half.

Senior Jess Louro led St. Rose with 26 points.

Boys final

(11) Rumson-Fair Haven 50, (1) CBA 24

Brendan Barry scored 25 of his game-high 27 points in the second half and the Bulldogs held the top-seeded Colts to five points on one field goal in the second half to win their first ever SCT championship in resounding fashion. Rumson held CBA to the lowest point total in a championship game since 1938, the second year the tournament was played.

CBA shot just 1-for-19 from the floor in the second half and did not make its first field goal until 2:08 left in the fourth quarter on a three by Shaun Belbey. The Colts shot 10-for-47 from the floor in the game, 2-for-22 from three-point range and 2-for-8 from the free-throw line.

Thomas Famulary scored all nine of his points in the first half and also pulled down 11 rebounds despite sitting seven minutes due to foul trouble.

Over five Shore Conference Tournament games, Rumson allowed an average of 34.6 in five SCT games.
