Keansburg head boys basketball coach James McCarthy is working with the foundation for the "Bosom Buddies" benefit for Keansburg teachers Sara Leanza and Camille Negri. Leanza, 28, was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of last year and underwent a double mastectomy. She is now set to undergo chemotherapy treatments. Negri, who is nearing retirement, was diagnosed in November and faces the same treatment.

The benefit at Park East will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will consist of a gift auction and a night of passed hors d'oeuvres.  Tickets will be $50 each and a percentage of the proceeds from the ticket sales will go directly to the Leanza and Negri families.

If you are unable to attend the event and would like to make a donation directly to the families, please contact James McCarthy at the high school.  All donations received will go directly to the families to help pay medical and household expenses. Checks should be made payable to the Daniel P. Ryan Foundation and can be mailed to P.O. Box 3145, Pt. Pleasant, NJ  08742.  Please include BOSOM BUDDIES BENEFIT in the memo portion of the check.  The Daniel P. Ryan Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization; the tax identification number is 26-3907621.
