Phil Marcantonio connected for a two-run home run in a three-run Freehold first inning and Dan Chiusano struck out eight in six innings of work to lead the Colonials past the Colts and into the MCT final for the first time since 1989, according to longtime Colonials coach Jon Block.
Nick Aiello preceded Marcantonio's home run with an RBI double that plated Mark Costanzo with the game's first run after Costanzo started the rally with a two-out single.
Tom Holdorf smoked a two-run double to right field in the top of the second to extend the Freehold lead to 5-0 and Marcantonio later added an RBI double that one-hopped the fence in left-center to give the Colonials a 7-0 lead in the top of the sixth.
Freehold Boro will face Red Bank Catholic in Tuesday's MCT final at FirstEnergy Park in Lakewood.

Sophomore catcher David Melfi hit an RBI double during a four-run Jackson Liberty fifth inning and added a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to lead a late offensive outburst that paced the Lions past the Panther and into the OCT quarterfinals.
Conner Keenan added a two-run single in the fifth that extended the Jackson Liberty lead to 5-2. Daniel Sofield singled and scored on a wild pitch to open the scoring in the bottom of the third.
Tom Paul doubled and scored on Kyle Lauria's RBI double in the top of the fourth and Pat Feehan singled home a run to give the Panthers the lead in the second after Trent Livolsi doubled ahead of him.
Jackson Liberty will play at Southern in the quarterfinals at a date and time to be determined.

Vance Pelino launched a two-run home run to left-centerfield to open the scoring in the second and the Golden Eagles scored two runs in three consecutive innings to beat the Jaguars.
Pelino also doubled and scored on a Jack Sudia two-out single in the top of the seventh to cap the scoring.
Tyler Aires singled through a drawn-in infield in the top of the third to chase home two runs and Mike Bickford and Tom Ruscitti drove in runs in consecutive plate appearances in the fourth. Bickford lifted a sacrifice fly to right field that scored Ryan Greene and Ruscitti followed with a two-out RBI single to plate Sudia. Greene reached on an infield single and Sudia doubled to right-center to start the inning.
Andrew Sefick singled in Jackson Memorial's first run in the bottom of the fourth and a second run scored on an error on a ground ball by Ryan Boyle.
Central will take on top-seeded Toms River South in the quarterfinals.

Freshman Lucas Torres hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the top of the fourth inning and sophomore Tyler Suydam made it stand up with his pitching performance as the Bengals pulled out the road win over the Green Dragons to advance to the OCT quarterfinals.
Kenny Bala gave Brick a 2-0 lead in the second with a two-run single, but Suydam settled in and dominated while pitching five scoreless frames to finish up his start.
Barnegat will travel to play Toms River North in the OCT quarterfinals for the second straight season. Toms River North beat Barnegat and Boston Red Sox top prospect Jason Groome on the way to winning the OCT crown.
