Attending A Local Football Game Pays Off

Lisa Hazel is a fan of Shore Regional sports and on September 24 she attended their home football game against Barnegat.  When she arrived Lisa saw the Shore Sports Network SUV on location as part of "The Block GameDay Countdown."  Like others she signed up an end-of-season drawing in which one person would win dinner for six at The Butcher's Block in Long Branch, a place she had dined at before and is very close to her West Long Branch home.  In early December Lisa was randomly selected as the winner of the grand prize and Thursday she was presented with her prize certificate by owner Tommy D'Ambrisi and Pat Gaughran.

The Butcher's Block is just finishing a massive renovation during which the restaurant has been closed to the public since last February.  The butcher shop itself, the heart of the family-owned business has remained open during this time.  Plans are for the restaurant itself to re-open next month.
