Senior running back Chad Freshnock returned after missing the last six games with an injury to run for a pair of touchdowns in the Lions’ (6-2, 4-1) Class A North victory over the Patriots (4-5, 2-4).

Freshnock had scoring runs of 1 and 2 yards, while junior quarterback Donald Glenn threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to junior Dwight Wilkerson. Austin Dewise scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter that put Middletown North up 20-0.

Freehold Township rallied with a 21-yard touchdown pass from senior Jack O’Brien to senior Nick Galanti, and an 8-yard touchdown run by Anthony Lotti.
