No. 6 Brick Memorial 28, No. 10 Jackson Memorial 7

Senior quarterback Tim Santiago ran for 135 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries and senior running back Elie Lavarin ran for 98 yards and a touchdown as the Mustangs (5-1, 4-1) pulled away from the Jaguars (3-3, 3-3) in the second half for their fifth straight victory.

A fumble recovery by Mike Nobile with the game still tired 7-7 set the stage for Lavarin’s 50-yard touchdown run that put Brick Memorial up 14-7. Santiago added a 40-yard run to make it 21-7 and sophomore fullback Tony Thorpe scored a late touchdown.

Brick Memorial held Jackson Memorial to just 55 yards rushing thanks to five sacks on Jaguars quarterback Dan Barker. The Mustangs defense limited Jackson running back Mike Gawlik to 63 yards. Barker finished with 154 yards and a touchdown pass to Kyle Johnson.
