Having their best season in more than a decade, Pinelands Regional will be featured on Wednesday’s Varsity Link Coaches Corner on the Shore Sports Network.

Bob Badders, Ed Sarluca and Kevin Williams will broadcast live from The Office Lounge in Toms River from 7-8 pm and will be joined by first-year Wildcats head coach John Tierney along with senior quarterback Ryan Allan and senior defensive end/tight end Mike Hall.

Pinelands has won four in a row and at 5-3 has matched the program's most wins since they went 5-5 in both 2009 and 2010. While they missed out on the state tournament, the Wildcats are the No. 2 2 seed in the new NJSIAA South 3 Regional Invitational Tournament and will host Triton on Thursday at 6 pm. If they both win this week, Pinelands would match up with Barnegat the following week in a rematch of their Week 2 meeting which the Bengals won, 7-6.

In addition to featuring the Wildcats, the show will focus on the first round of the state tournament which involves 21 teams from the Shore Conference.

Now in its 12th season, the Coaches Corner is presented by Varsity Link which is the newest social media platform for students and athletes and is designed to allow them to showcase their best qualities to increase their chances to get recognized and recruited.  The athletes build their own profiles specifically tailored to the sport they play.  Download the Varsity Link app now, it’s available on the App Store and Google Play.
