No. 10 Holmdel 10, Colts Neck 9

Jack Kapcsos fired in four goals with one assist and Joe Hazel had a goal and four assists as the Hornets edged the Cougars. Dan Bunting scored twice, including the go-ahead goal in the fourth quarter, and Nick Tuccillo made 10 saves. Justin Arredondo and Dan Tempone chipped in with one goal and one assist each. Tempone also went 14-for-20 on face-offs.

 

Red Bank Catholic 10, Jackson Liberty 7

Sophomore attackman Jack Zenkert continued his strong play with five goals and one assist as the Caseys topped the Lions. Ryan Schellin also registered six points with three goals and three assists and Colin Marshall made nine saves. Kyle Boggio had a goal and an assist and Pat Brady scored once.

Nick Labianca had a hat trick and Tom Ferullo scored twice for Jackson Liberty. Brendan Sheerin added a goal and two assists, Max Matthies scored once and Sean Reid made 14 saves.

 

Brick Memorial 9, Middletown North 5

Senior attackman Joey Ferrara scored four goals and added two assists to set the school record for goals in a season and lead the Mustangs past the Lions. Ferrara now has 44 goals on the season to surpass the previous record of 43 he set last season.

Jared Crippen added two goals and two assists and Jake White made 12 saves. Matt Ingenito chipped in with one goal and one assist and Tyler Sindel and Ian Thomas had one goal each.

 

Donovan Catholic 14, Toms River South 3

Trevor Barber scored six goals, added two assists and went 17-for-20 on face-offs to lead the Griffins to a big win over the Indians. Will Duddy added three goals and one assist, Nick Calvetto had two goals and two assists and P.J. Spernal, Andy Schlendorf and Dan Fleming each scored once. Peter Rao made eight saves in goal to earn the win.

 

NONCONFERENCE

Lacey 18, Middle Township 1

Junior attackman Dylan Vitale scored eight goals and two assists to reach 100 career goals and lead the Lions (8-6) past the Panthers (3-13).

JoeCarlo Chimenti added two goals and five assists, Dom Waltonowski had one goal and five assists and Mike Gallicchio went 19-for-21 on face-offs and scored a goal. Chris Augustine added two goals and two assists, Brett Spafford scored twice and Eric Green and Jake Schlosser each scored once. Justin Covey needed to make only one save to pick up the win in goal.

 

St. Rose 9, New Egypt 1

Shane Reilly tallied four goals and two assists, Nolan Boehmcke scored four goals with one assist and Brendan Perry made 16 saves to lead the Purple Roses (7-10) to a victory over the Warriors.

Ryan Harms scored once and Mike Kinsel went 9-for-11 on face-offs, picked up 14 ground balls and had one assist.
