Each week during the remainder of the Shore Conference girls basketball season, Shore Sports Network will present multiple weekly awards for Player of the Week and give the fans the opportunity to vote for the overall player of the week.

Below are the Players of the Week in each of the eight Shore Conference divisions, plus two wild cards. Read about their performances during the stretch of games from Jan. 8 through Jan. 15 and vote for the players who stood out as the Thrive Shore Conference Player of the Week.

Vote once per hour until the poll closes at 10 p.m. on Thursday. The winner will be posted on Thursday and will receive a free recovery session courtesy of Thrive Spine and Sports Rehab.

Class A North Player of the Week

Nina Emnace, Trinity Hall

Emnace had a record setting week, becoming the all-time leading scorer in Trinity Hall history with 1,238 points. Last week she averaged 18.6 points, 4 assists and 4.6 steals a game. In the Coaches vs Cancer she scored 29 points to set the record and had 7 assists in the game.

Class A North Honorable Mention: Kiera McKown, Howell; Lia Villa, Marlboro; Laila Hagan, Manalapan; Ava Giordano, Freehold Township; Grace Feeney, Trinity Hall

 

Class A Central Player of the Week

Kaitlyn Hard, Point Beach

In two games for Point Beach, Hard averaged 9.5 points a game. She scored a team-high 10 points against Shore Regional and scored 9 points to help Point Beach defeat West Windsor-Plainsboro South.

Class A Coastal Player of the Week

Mackenzie Teevan, Holmdel

Teevan averaged 14 points and 6 rebounds this week and put up two double-doubles. Against No. 5 St. Rose she scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. In the Coaches vs Cancer she scored 12 points and had 10 blocks, preventing Notre Dame from attacking the hoop.

Class A Coastal Honorable Mention: Sayuri Penaranda, Freehold Boro; Zaira Carballo, Matawan; Brianna Daly, Raritan; Angela Peduto, Raritan; Allison Cannon, Holmdel; Stella Lockhart, St. John Vianney

 

Class A South Player of the Week

Skylar Soltis, Southern Regional

Soltis averaged a double-double last week in three victories for Southern. She averaged 13 points and 12.3 rebounds a game. Against Manalapan, she scored a season-high 22 points and had 13 rebounds and blocked 3 shots. She helped to prevent Barnegat, who is strong on the offensive glass, from getting second chance points by pulling down 15 rebounds.

Class A South Honorable Mention: Yana Shupak, Toms River East; Linsey Cribbin, Toms River South; Kayla Herzer, Brick Memorial; Casey Collins, Southern; Cali Brown, Jackson Memorial

 

Class B North Player of the Week

Addy Nyemchek, Red Bank Catholic

Nyemchek continues her strong season on both sides of the ball. She has scored in double digits in every game this season and averaged 17.3 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4.3 steals a game last week. Against No. 5 St. Rose, she filled every stat with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and 4 steals. She has helped RBC move into the No. 1 spot in the Shore Conference.

Class B North Honorable Mention: Camryn Gardner, Red Bank Regional; Julianna Kowaleski, Colts Neck; Amanda MacGregor, Middletown South; Raquel Guidetti, Rumson-Fair Haven; Zoe Gulley, Red Bank Regional

 

Class B Central Player of the Week

Reese Fiore, Shore Regional

Fiore has been causing problems for defenses since she returned from an injury. Last week she posted her fourth double-double of the season, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds against Colts Neck. Against division rival Monmouth Regional, she scored a season-high 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in a 48-43 victory for Shore.

Class B Central Honorable Mention: Sophia Porter, Jackson Liberty; Amaya Harris, Monmouth Regional; Angela Forese, Donovan Catholic; Eli Clark, Ocean Township
Class B Coastal Player of the Week

Hope Masonius, Manasquan

Masonius helped Manasquan hand St. John Vianney their first defeat since 03/05/2019. She scored 21 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in the victory and helped the Warriors break the SJV press. Earlier in the week she put up a double-double against Neptune, 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Class B Coastal Honorable Mention: Haley Poser, Ranney; Vanessa Haas, Point Boro; Christa Ramos, Neptune; Cassidy Kruisi, St. Rose; Katie Collins, Manasquan

 

Class B South Player of the Week

Devyn Quigley, Manchester

Quigley has one of the best weeks in Shore Conference history. Early in the week she scored 38 points and grabbed 24 rebounds in a victory against No. 16 Jackson Memorial. The 38 points put her at 2,010 for her career, tied with former teammate Destiny Adams for 12th on the all-time scoring list in the Shore Conference. She followed that with a career-high 58 points in a 68-59 victory over No. 11 Ranney. She currently sits 10th on the all-time scoring list Shore Conference History.

Class B South Honorable Mention: Riley Nausedas, Brick Township; Emma Christensen, Central Regional; Reese Paget, Lacey; Emma Thornton, Barnegat

 

Wildcards

Sayuri Penaranda, Freehold Boro

Penaranda put up her fifth double-double of the season scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 rebounds against No. 15 Point Boro. She averaged 17.3 points a game last week and scored 16 against No. 11 Ranney.

Riley Nausedas, Brick Township

Nausedas kept Brick Township in their game against Toms River South, scoring a career-high 23 points in a game they lost in overtime. She followed that by scoring 11 out of the teams 25 points to give Brick Township their third win of the season against cross town rival Brick Memorial.
