Each week during the remainder of the Shore Conference girls basketball season, Shore Sports Network will present multiple weekly awards for Player of the Week and give the fans the opportunity to vote for the overall player of the week.

Below are the Players of the Week in each of the eight Shore Conference divisions, plus two wild cards. Read about their performances during the stretch of games from Dec. 26 through Jan. 1 and vote for the players who stood out as the Thrive Shore Conference Player of the Week.

Vote once per hour until the poll closes at 10 p.m. on Thursday. The winner will be posted on Thursday and will receive a free recovery session courtesy of Thrive Spine and Sports Rehab.

Class A North Player of the Week

Gaby Parker, Freehold Township 

Parker averaged 15.5 points per game in the Blue Devil Invitational Tournament last week in two games. In the opening round she scored 15 points and had 7 steals to lead the Patriots to victory and the semifinal round.  Against the top seeded Ocean Township, Parker scored a team-high 16 points. The junior is very quick on the defensive end and can get the basket to draw the foul on the offensive.

Class A Central Player of the Week

Gabriella Flanzbaum, Keansburg

Flanzbaum scored double-digits in both games in the Keansburg Holiday Classic. In the opening round against South Amboy she scored a game-high 15 points in a winning effort. In the second round she scored a team-high 14 points against South River.

Class A Coastal Player of the Week

Stella Lockhart, St. John Vianney

Lockhart has hit the floor running for SJV since transferring from Gill St. Bernards this season. Lockhart averaged a double-double, averaging 14.6 PPG and 10 RPG,  in the Tampa Bay Invitational over the holiday break. Lockhart scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the final game.

Class A South Player of the Week

Lindsey Cribbin, Toms River South

Cribbin continues to impress in her rookie season for TRS. In the WOBM Christmas Classic she averaged 12.6 points per game and 4.3 steals per game to help TRS advance into the championship game of the Kathy Snyder bracket. She scored a game-high 14 points and had 5 steals in the championship game for the Indians.

Class B North Player of the Week

Caroline Polloway, Red Bank Regional

Polloway had a dominant performance in the Ray Cervino bracket of the WOBM Christmas Classic to help RBR win their first WOBM championship in school history. Polloway was named tournament MVP averaging a double-double, 16 points per game and 12.3 rebounds per game. In the championship game she scored 19 points with 14 coming in the second half and pulled down 13 rebounds.

Class B North Honorable Mention: Christina Liggio, Red Bank Catholic; Addy Nyemchek, Red Bank Catholic; Erin Reid, Rumson-Fair Haven; Julianna Kowaleski, Colts Neck; Danielle Gonzalez, Middletown North; Amanda MacGregor, Middletown South; Synai Blychanton, Red Bank Regional

 

Class B Central Player of the Week

Kayden Clark, Ocean Township

Clark averaged 19.5 points per game for Ocean to help them win their second straight Blue Devil Invitational. Clark scored a career-high 24 points and had 5 steals in the semifinal round against Freehold Township. In the championship she had a game-high 15 points for the Spartans to be named tournament MVP.

Class B Central Honorable Mention: Reese Fiore, Shore Regional; Ava Coyle, Shore Regional; Amaya Harris, Monmouth Regional; Jules Georgiano, Jackson Liberty; Angela Forese, Donovan Catholic; Sarah Franks, Donovan Catholic; Jineen Ayyash, Ocean Township

 

Class B Coastal Player of the Week

Shayne Eldridge, Wall

Class B Coastal Honorable Mention: Haley Poser, Ranney; Lana Ellington, Neptune; Sarah Dahl, Point Pleasant Boro; Jada Lynch, St. Rose; Hope Masonius, Manasquan; Katie Collins, Manasquan

 

Class B South Player of the Week

Emma Christensen, Central Regional

Christensen took her game to another level during the WOBM Christmas Classic, being named MVP of the Kathy Snyder bracket and helping Central Regional win the tournament. Christensen did it on the offensive end but was even more effective on the defensive end, averaging 8 steals a game. She also dominated the glass averaging 16 rebounds a game including a career-high 22 rebounds in the semifinal game. She also scored the winning points in overtime in the semifinal game.

Class B South Honorable Mention: Brooke Schmidt, Lacey; Emma Thornton, Barnegat; Devyn Quigley, Manchester

 

Wildcards

Christina Liggio, Red Bank Catholic

Liggio averaged 13.5 points a game in the Viking Invitational to help RBC win the tournament and be named the MVP. In both games Liggio filled the stat sheets, contributing on both sides of the floor. In the finals she scored 14 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and had 4 assists.

Haley Poser - Ranney

Poser averaged 22.5 points in the Holmdel Holiday Showcase for Ranney. In an opening round defeat to St. Thomas Aquinas, Poser hit four 3-pointers and finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Poser knocked down another five 3-pointers in Ranney's next game in a victory.
