The past week of Shore Conference boys lacrosse action featured several great individual performances.

Now it’s time to get your vote in for who had the top performance in the Shore to choose the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Thursday right here on ShoreSportsNetwork.com. Voting will end Wednesday at 11:59 p.m.

Player of the Week nominees for 4/9 to 4/15

Canyon Birch, Manasquan

The Shore Conference’s leading scorer had another incredible week with a whopping 22 goals and three assists in wins over Colts Neck, Bridgewater-Raritan and St. Rose. Birch had six goals against both Colts Neck and Bridgewater and then fired in 10 goals versus St. Rose.

 

Aniello Russo, Southern

Russo tallied eight goals and three assists as the Rams won games against Rumson-Fair Haven and Brick Memorial and dropped an overtime game to Freehold Township. Russo had two goals and the assist in the game-winning goal in a 6-5 win over Rumson and had hat tricks against Freehold Township and Brick Memorial.

 

Justin Arredondo, Holmdel

Arredondo continued his fine season with 13 goals and 3 assists in three games, including recording his 100th career point. He scored five goals and added two assists in a win over Brick and had four goals each in games against Ocean and St. Rose.

 

Holden Lowe, Ocean

Lowe tallied nine goals and added eight assists in three games as the Spartans defeated Jackson Liberty and Holmdel and lost to Rumson. He scored five goals and had three assists in a 9-7 win over Holmdel to highlight his week.

 

Mike McIntyre, Wall

McIntyre is having a tremendous season and piled up 14 more points in two games this past week. He had seven goals and three assists in a win over Old Bridge and then supplied two goals and two assists in an 11-10 comeback win over Jackson Liberty.

 

Aidan Purcell, Freehold Township

Purcell made 28 saves in wins over Southern and Colts Neck as the Patriots remained undefeated. He was sensational in a 6-5 overtime win over Southern with 14 saves, including one huge save in overtime.

 

Andrew Gosse, St. John Vianney

The Lancers have fought their way back over .500 with three straight wins and Gosse has been a major reason why. He scored nine goals in two games last week with six goals in a win over West Windsor-Plainsboro North and a hat trick against Red Bank Catholic.

 

Zack Alagna, Colts Neck

The Colts went just 1-2 during the week but Alagna kept his offensive output going with 10 goals and two assists. He had six goals in a win over Marlboro and scored four times with one assist as Colts Neck nearly upset Freehold Township.

 

Gil Goldsmith, Shore

Goldsmith had three goals and four assists when the Blue Devils knocked off a ranked Toms River East team and then added a goal and four assists in a win over Point Boro.
