Every week this season, Shore Conference lacrosse fans will have their chance to vote for the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey/Shore Sports Network Boys Lacrosse Player of the Week on our website.

The Week 6 winner as selected by the readers is Donovan Catholic junior midfielder Trevor Barber, who posted eight goals in two games while and also winning nearly 75 percent of his face-offs for the Griffins.

Barber's signature game during the week came in a win over Toms River South where he scored six goals, assisted on another goal and went 17-for-19 on face-offs. Barber then scored twice and won 14 of 24 face-offs in a one-goal loss to New Egypt. He continued his strong play early this week by scoring four goals and going 16-for-23 on face-offs in a victory over Barnegat.

Barber is Donovan Catholic's leading scorer this season with 34 goals and six assists for 40 points. He has also won 200 out of 271 face-offs (74 percent) and collected 83 ground balls.

The Donovan Catholic fans came out to support Barber as he won the Player of the Week poll easily with 36.71 percent of the votes.
