16 entered the weekend with a chance to reach their dream, a trip to the finals and play for a State Championship. 7 remain, including at least one participant in each of the five Central Jersey groups.
Whether you believe in the process or not, the New Jersey State football championships will begin on Friday night and 26 teams from the 43 schools that play high school football in the shore have made the tournament.
The New Jersey football playoff brackets will be completed this coming weekend and 184 schools will make the cut within the 23 sections that the state is divided into.
With 2 weeks left before we add all the numbers up to see what teams may get a chance to play for a State Championship, let’s take a tentative look at who might get in.
