Class A South

Toms River East 2, No. 15 Brick Township 0 (25-20, 25-15)

Ava Casales' 14 assists were too much for Brick Township to handle, taking a large divisional matchup in two sets. Adrianna Cruz and Darlyn Neyra produced double-digit dig totals for Toms River East. Marissa Witter had 10 assists in the loss for the Dragons.

Jackson Memorial 0, No. 11 Central Regional 2 (25-20, 25-13)

The Golden Eagles moves to 4-1 on the season, taking down Jackson Memorial in back-to-back sets without issue. Kate O'Blek led the way for Central, leading the team with 19 assists and 8 service points.

No. 12 Brick Memorial 0, No. 1 Southern 2

Molly Regulski had a barrage of assists, leading Southern with 19 as Southern had no worries taking down Brick Memorial. Jordyn Hamlin led Southern with 10 kills, propelling the Rams to their eighth straight victory to start 2023.

 

Class B South

No. 14 Jackson Liberty 2, Lacey 1 (25-13, 18-25, 25-18)

No. 6 Barnegat 2, Manchester Township 0 (25-21, 25-11)

Sophomore Annabella Fraim continued her dominance on the court, garnering 19 assists and 7 service points as Barnegat took down the Hawks in straight sets. Cassidi Van Horn led the way for the Bengals with 7 kills. Samantha Villanueva led the Hawks with 11 digs as Devyn Quigley had 6 kills in defeat.

Lakewood 0, No. 2 Donovan Catholic 2 (25-5, 25-5)

The Griffins strong ways continued, with back-to-back set wins by 20 points. Daniella Tischio continued to be the force she's been all year, leading the Griffins with 8 assists. Macayla Lindner led with 5 kills, as Elizabeth Kavanaugh had 7 assists in the victory.

Non-Divisional

Colts Neck 2, No. 13 Wall 1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-21)

A much-needed win came from the Cougars, getting in the win column for the first time in 2023. Colts Neck took the first set by eight before having to fight and win in three sets.

Keyport 0 at Freehold Borough 2 (25-16, 25-19)

Freehold Borough came out with a two-set victory to get the Colonials back to .500 on the season. Audrey Sousa led the Colonials with 9 kills in the victory, while Mia Giglio had 8 service points.

No. 10 Pinelands 2, No. 4 Marlboro 0 (25-21, 25-20)

The Wildcats came away with a much-needed win over Marlboro today in consecutive sets. Cece Marino had 6 kills while Jordan Chan led the Mustangs with 10 digs.

St. Rose 2, Long Branch 0 (25-14, 25-23)

Ali Lubach had a team-high 13 assists for the Purple Roses, getting St. Rose to 3-3 on the year. Emily Fudge helped out St. Rose with 6 kills on the day.
