Shore Conference Players Nominated for Heart of a Giant Award
A number of candidates from the Shore Conference have been nominated for USA Football’s Heart of a Giant award, an honor designed to recognize football players from the Tri-State area who embody a passionate spirit for the game and the perseverance to overcome adversity through their exemplary work ethic.
Ten players are selected each week through the first six weeks of the season from a pool of nominees. Votes can be cast at usafootball.com/heartofagiant and the voting remains open for 25 days following the announcement of the week’s candidates. The winners of each of the six weeks will become finalists and must submit an original video portraying why they possess the Heart of a Giant.
USA Football, the Hospital for Special Surgery and the New York Giants will review the submissions of the finalists and select the grand-prize winner, who will be honored with a trophy and on-field ceremony during a New York Giants’ home game in December as well as earn his or her respective program a $5,000 equipment grant.
