Group 5

Middletown North 2, Manchester 0

Junior Jayme Malanda scored a goal in each half to keep Middletown North’s hopes alive in the SCT. She scored her first goal in the 38th minute and sealed the game in the 57th minute off a pass from Maddison Kulka. Middletown North will travel to Brick Memorial on Friday, needing a win to advance to the SCT. 

 

Class A North

No. 10 Middletown South 2, St. John Vianney 1 

 

Class A Central

No. 11 Rumson-Fair Haven 2, No. 6 Wall 1 (OT)

Junior Aubrey Scoble refused to let Rumson lose in the Class A Central matchup. Scoble scored the equalizer in the final minute of regulation then she scored the golden goal with six seconds left in double overtime for the Bulldogs. Junior Erin Farrell scored her 10th goal of the season for Wall. 

No. 3 Red Bank Catholic 2, Raritan 0

Freshman Payton Cox scored a goal in both halves to help RBC clinch the Class A Central division title. Cox scored her sixth and seventh goals of the season and junior Cailin Naughton posted her second straight shutout. 

Shore Regional 3, Holmdel 1

Senior Ava Agresti scored two goals and sophomore Ava Coyle had two assists as Shore Regional won the Class A Central matchup. Junior Lily Reardon scored her third goal of the season for Holmdel.

 

Class A South

No. 4 Central Regional 1, Toms River North 0

Senior Lindsay Smith scored her first goal of the season in the first half to help Central Regional finish the regular season undefeated. Senior Erika Kangas made her 200th career save for the Golden Eagles.

No. 5 Brick Memorial 6, No. 16 Toms River South 0

It was senior day for Brick Memorial and the seniors certainly stepped up, scoring all six goals for the Mustangs. Lexi Caruso scored a hat trick to lead Brick Memorial and her sister Mia added another goal. Gabby Hernandez scored a goal and assisted on three others in the game. Junior Giselle Lizardi earned her sixth shutout of the season. 

No. 12 Jackson Memorial 3, Southern Regional 0

Jackson Memorial got back on track, winning the Class A South matchup against Southern Regional. After winning six straight games, the Jaguars lost their last three games prior to Wednesday. Senior Renee Wanzor scored two first-half goals for Jackson Memorial in the victory. 

No. 15 Toms River East 4, Brick Township 0

Toms River East scored a pair of goals in each half to win its fifth straight game. Senior Amanda Barr scored the game winner 10 minutes into the game off Sydney Murphy’s assist. Murphy assisted the second goal in the first half by junior Grace Crowley. Senior Addison Husenica earned her first shutout of the season. 

 

Class B North

Ocean Township 1, Freehold Boro 0

Junior Isabella Santucci scored her 10th goal of the season off a pass from freshman Erin Toppi to lift Ocean over Freehold Boro in a Class B North matchup. 

No. 13 Manasquan 4, Colts Neck 1

Manasquan scored three second-half goals to stay undefeated in Class B North. Senior Rylie Rampone scored the game-winner midway through the second half and assisted a goal by sophomore Jordyn Hollawell later in the half. Senior Bianca Chiarella scored 10 minutes into the first half to give the Warriors their first goal in the game. Senior Valentina Sepulveda scored the equalizer for Colts Neck in the 49th minute. 

No. 14 Trinity Hall 8, Neptune 1

Trinity Hall scored five first-half goals against Neptune to finish undefeated and end the season tied with Manasquan in Class B North. Senior Reilly Sullivan led the way with a hat trick and added an assist for Trinity Hall. Senior Kaitlyn Hankins scored her ninth goal of the season for Neptune.

 

Class B Central

Point Pleasant Beach 2, Ranney 0

The Kirchner sisters did it again, with Gabby scoring what would prove to be the game-winner in the first half and Katie scoring in the second half. Gabby scored her seventh goal of the season and assisted on her sister's goal, which was Katie’s eighth of the season. Junior Mackenzie Highland earned her sixth shutout of the season.

St. Rose 8, Asbury Park 0

St. Rose had eight different goal scorers on Senior Day to win its third straight game. Seniors Leanna Silva and Isabelle Levy both scored a goal and had two assists for the Roses. Levy, who scored her first career goal, also picked up the victory and shutout in goal. 

 

Class B South

No. 7 Point Pleasant Boro 5, Barnegat 0

Senior Juliette Ryan scored two goals and assisted on another in the Panthers win over Barnegat. Point Boro finished undefeated in Class B South for the second straight season and remains undefeated in the Shore Conference. Junior Ava Bjorndahl picked up her sixth shutout of the season. 

Lacey 6, Jackson Liberty 1

Lacey broke a 1-1 tie with five goals in the second half to win their ninth straight game. Junior Natalie McGovern scored two goals in the second half and one in the first half for the hat trick and assisted on another goal. Jackson Liberty scored the first goal against Lacey since the winning streak has begun. Junior Delaney Spalthoff scored her 13th goal of the season.
