Class A North

No. 1 Freehold Township 4, Middletown North 0

Senior Cassidy Corcione scored two goals to lead Freehold Township to a Class A North victory. With the win, Freehold Township will face No. 2 Manalapan in a battle of division unbeatens Thursday for the Class A North championship. Senior Ainsley Moy had a goal and an assist and junior Danielle Howard had two assists, giving her nine on the season. 

No. 9 Marlboro 1, No. 10 Middletown South 1 (OT)

A matchup of two top 10 teams in Class A North ended in a 1-1 tie. Bea Tinoco scored her 12th goal of the season for Middletown South to give them the early lead. Senior Samantha Schmid scored the equalizer in the second half for Marlboro off a pass from Carly Guzzardo.

No. 2 Manalapan 3, St. John Vianney 2 

 

Class A Central

No. 6 Wall 0, No. 3 Red Bank Catholic 0 (OT)

Two of the Shore Conference best teams battled to a 0-0 draw in Class A Central. Both teams are now 4-0-1 in division play with one game each remaining. Wall had the early advantage, coming close on a set piece 13 minutes into the game, but junior Cailin Naughton made the save for RBC. 

The Caseys' best chance in regulation came just past the midway point of the first half off a corner kick. Senior Saige Santa Cruz was able to jump on the loose ball for the Knights to keep RBC scoreless.

Wall had a number of good chances in the second half, but Naughton and the RBC defense did not break. In the 66th minute Erin Farrell made a nice move to get off a clear shot that hit the crossbar. In the first overtime Wall had the better of the play and applied pressure on RBC, but could not score.

In the second overtime, RBC increased the pressure for the majority of the 10 minutes. In the opening minute, RBC had their best chance since the first half, but senior Nelly Bianchi reached up and punched the shot over the crossbar. 

No. 11 Rumson-Fair Haven 2, Holmdel 1

Rumson responded to an early goal by Holmdel to win a Class A Central game. Junior Lily Reardon scored three minutes into the game for Holmdel when senior Katie Walls could not grab the ball, giving Reardon an open shot on goal.

Junior Aubrey Scoble scored the equalizer in the 19th minute off a through-ball from senior Paige West. West also had the assist on the game-winner to freshman Jordyn Sullivan in the 66th minute. Both teams' goalies, Walls for Rumson and freshman Natalie Clifford for Holmdel, made key saves down the stretch for their teams.

Red Bank Regional 2, Shore Regional 1

Red Bank has won three out of its last four games in Class A Central, defeating Shore Regional, 2-1. Senior Aileen Monahan and sophomore Abigail Plattel both scored for the Bucs. Senior Kasey Bazydlo scored her fourth goal of the season for the Blue Devils. 

 

Class A South

No. 15 Toms River East 2, No. 5 Brick Memorial 1 (OT)

Freshman Elle Dworzanski scored the golden goal to lead TRE in an upset win over Brick Memorial. Senior Peyton Gallagher scored the first goal of the game in the first half, her seventh of the season. Junior Brooke DeAlmeida scored the equalizer in the second half for Brick Memorial.

No. 16 Toms River South 1, No. 12 Jackson Memorial 0 (OT)

Jackson Memorial dropped their second straight game in double-overtime, falling to Toms River South in a Class A South matchup. Senior Emma Woch scored the golden goal on a penalty kick for the Indians. Both goalkeepers, senior Meaghan Weatherstone for TRS and junior Gianna Berkley for the Jaguars, had double-digit saves in the game. 

Toms River North 4, Brick Township 0

Toms River North scored three first-half goals to get back to .500 on the season. Senior Alexis Garcia scored two goals for the Mariners and freshman Lauren Kuhn had two assists. Freshman Ella Felicetta also scored two goals, the first two of her career.

No. 4 Central Regional 5, Southern Regional 1

Senior Gracie Lowe scored her first two goals of the season for Central Regional as the Golden Eagles stay undefeated and clinched first place in Class A South. Senior Emma Harmon scored her 15th goal of the season and had two assists in the game. 

 

Class B North

No. 14 Trinity Hall 1, Colts Neck 0

Freshman Kailyn Fitzgerald scored the game winner in the 52nd minute off a pass from Maris Child to keep Trinity Hall undefeated in Class B North. Sophomore goalie Emily Venezia had double-digit saves in her sixth shutout of the season. 

No. 13 Manasquan 7, Matawan 0

Manasquan scored five second-half goals to rebound from Saturday’s loss to Wall to stay undefeated in Class B North. Senior Rylie Rampone and sophomore Jordyn Hollawell both scored a pair of goals for the Warriors. 

Freehold Boro 3, Neptune 1

Freehold Boro scored three goals in the second half after trailing 1-0 at halftime to win the Class B North matchup. Sophomore Brielle Loize scored the first goal of her career and assisted on another to help Freehold Boro in their comeback. Senior Riley Turner and junior Olivia Preston both scored for the Colonials in the second half. Sophomore Casey McGhee scored in the first half to give Neptune the lead. 

 

Class B Central

St. Rose 4, Ranney 0

St. Rose scored three first-half goals to win the Class B Central matchup. Junior Molly Cullen scored the game-winner and her fourth goal of the season and added an assist. Sophomore Erin Dwyer also had a goal and an assist for the Purple Roses. Senior Isabelle Levy earned her first shutout of the season. 

Point Beach 6, Long Branch 1

Point Beach clinched the Class B Central title by defeating Long Branch. The Garnet Gulls scored four first-half goals with junior Izzy Kurzon scoring what would be the game winner in the 25th minute, one minute after Long Branch tied the game on Adrianna Ramirez’s goal. The Kirchner sisters, Gabby a junior and Katie a freshman, each scored a goal and had two assists in the game. 

Monmouth Regional 5, Asbury Park 0

Monmouth Regional scored five first-half goals to earn their sixth win of the season. Freshman Angelise Marmolejas led the Falcons with two goals, her first two of her career. Sophomores Christine DeFalco and Angelina Funes both scored the first goals of their career for Monmouth Regional.

 

Class B South

Lacey 1, Donovan Catholic 0

Senior Brooke Schmidt scored 13 minutes into the game on Senior Night to give Lacey a Class B South win. Senior Lorynn Leporino earned the shutout for Lacey, which posted its eighth straight shutout as a team. Junior Lauren Kurzynowski kept Donovan close with double-digit saves. 

No. 7 Point Boro 7, Jackson Liberty 2

Point Boro scored five second-half goals to clinch first place in Class B South. Senior Kyleigh Cilento scored one goal and had four assists for the Panthers. Junior Gabby Mellet and freshman Mia Thompson both scored two goals for Point Boro. Junior Delaney Spalthoff scored two goals for Jackson Liberty, bringing her total to 12 on the season. 

Barnegat 8, Lakewood 0

Senior Kassandra Doty and junior Kallie Kawka both scored a hat trick and each had an assist to give Barnegat their fifth win of the season. Freshman Jayla Duff added a goal, her sixth of the season, and two assists. 

Manchester 3, Pinelands 0

Manchester had three different goal scorers, all in the second half, to earn its fourth win of the season. Freshman Madeline Nolan scored the game winner and sophomore Madison Cubbison scored her sixth of the season for Manchester. Junior Kaia Buckley picked up her fourth shutout of the year.
