Quarterfinals

(1) CBA 3, (9) Wall 0

Junior Jack D'Eletto opened the scoring in the 11th minute and sophomore Dylan Millevoi and senior Dylan Cupo traded goals and assists to spark the Colts (15-1) to a win over the Crimson Knights (9-4-2).

Senior Declan Kelly got the ball to D'Eletto, who finished off the play to put CBA on top in the early going. Four minutes later, Cupo set up a finish by Millevoi.

Cupo later capped the scoring off a pass from Millevoi to extend the CBA lead to 3-0 in the 68th minute.

(3) Toms River North 2, (6) Long Branch 0

Senior Nico Gonzalez scored in the first half and senior Mattia Assante capped the win with a goal in the 62nd minute as the Mariners (11-1-1) fought off the Green Wave (11-6-1) to reach the SCT semifinals for the second time in five years.

Both goals game off follow-up rebounds, with Assante scoring the capper after the Mariners forced a turnover and countered.

Toms River North will take on No. 2 Freehold Township in Tuesday's SCT semifinal round at Barnegat. The two teams finished in a scoreless draw in their regular-season meeting on Oct. 12 in Toms River.

(2) Freehold Twp. 2, (10) Holmdel 1

Senior Herman Colbert scored the game-winning goal in the final minute and the Patriots (13-2-1) pulled out a thriller against the Hornets (9-5) to reach the SCT quarterfinals again after winning the last contested tournament in 2019.

Senior Sean Keegan launched the ball up field to senior Ryan Keegan, who got it over to Colbert for the winner with 30 seconds left on the clock.

Freehold Township jumped on top, 1-0, late in the first half when senior Josh Hocheiser converted a penalty kick after a foul inside the 18-yard box.

Holmdel needed only 18 seconds after the halftime whistle to equalize, with senior Brendan Worobel blasting a shot from beyond the 18-yard box.

(4) Manalapan 1, (5) Marlboro 0 (OT)

Senior Aditya Kasina scored off a corner kick in the 97th minute and the Braves (8-3-4) beat the Mustangs (7-6-1) via golden goal to advance to the SCT semifinals for the first time in seven years.

Senior Drew Gross served the corner kick into the box, where junior Anthony Sarkisov headed it toward the goal from just outside the six-yard box. Kasina made his way into the scrum, lined up a shot off a bounce and knocked the winning shot into the top of the frame.

Sophomore goalkeeper Matteo Paolillo earned the shutout in goal and save the game with a diving save to his left late in regulation.

 

Non-Division

Lacey 2, Middletown North 1

Junior Ethan Riley scored the game-winning goal in the final minute of regulation to give Lacey a regular-season win over Middletown North.

Matteo Pasqualichio scored the first Lacey goal, which tied the game at 1-1 in the 60th minute and came off a Bryan Cardoso feed.
