Class A North

No. 2 CBA 13, Manalapan 4

Senior midfielder Ian Macrae delivered four goals and three assists and sophomore midfielder Davis Campbell notched a hat trick to lead the Colts (4-1, 3-0) past the Braves (3-2, 3-1).

Freshman middie Ben Breeden scored twice and sophomore LSM Quinn Kelly had a goal and an assist. Junior attackman Roman DeCenzo, freshman attackman Caden Lucich, and sophomore attackman Carter McGuire each scored once and junior midfielder Padraig Quinn dished out two assists. Sophomore FOGO Hunter Kilpatrick won 10 of 16 face-offs.

Marc Stefanelli, Anthony Macchio, Dylan Friedman, and Christian Zdziarski each scored goals for Manalapan. Freshman goalie Connor Doel made 12 saves.

 

No. 8 Middletown South 8, Howell 7

Senior Kevin Dunphy scored three times and senior midfielder Beau Servidio contributed two goals, one assist, and 12 face-off wins to help the Eagles (4-1, 3-1) hold off a challenge from the Rebels (2-4, 1-3).

Ethan Platzke, Nick Wisnewski, and Jake Sawyer had a goal and an assist each and Lucas Campos made five saves.

Senior attackman Nate Lorenzo tallied three goals and one assist, sophomore midfielder Vincent Meehan scored twice, and senior goalie Brendan Breschard made 11 saves for Howell. Nicholas Turturro added a goal and an assist and Jack Marich scored once.

 

Middletown North 18, Marlboro 2

 

Freehold Township 6, Colts Neck 5

Senior midfielders Jaden Bulkley and Aidan Harrington each scored twice and sophomore goalie Junior Alvarado made 11 saves as the Patriots (3-2, 2-2) held on for a tight victory over the Cougars (1-5, 1-3).

Freehold Township led 3-1 at halftime and 6-2 heading to the fourth quarter. Bulkley added an assist for a team-high three points while Brendan Carfagno and Nolan Thompson each scored once. Nate Reiser and Nick Carnevale had one assist each.

Sean Perkinson had two goals and one assist and senior LSM Thomas Halmi scored twice to lead Colts Neck. Jack Dodd scored once, Aaron Nasimov made eight saves, and Sam Surdez and Luke Ferraro had one assist each.

 

Class A South

No. 6 Southern 17, Brick Memorial 1

Senior midfielder Joey DeYoung tallied four goals and three assists and senior Ty Murawski netted four goals and two assists as the Rams (6-1, 4-0) surged past the Mustangs (1-5, 1-3) for their 67th straight division victory.

Konnor Forlai scored three goals and added two assists, Hayden Lucas recorded two goals and three assists, and Anthony Arch had a goal and three assists. Joe Kessler added a goal and an assist and senior defensive midfielder Xander Murray and Billy Barry had one goal apiece.

Colin Markowski won 18 of 22 at the face-off X and the goalie tandem of Nick Roesch (3 saves) and AJ Mattern (2 saves) continued their strong play.

Freshman Jack D'Eufemia scored the lone goal for Brick Memorial, Matt Hillin made 18 saves, and Matt Cohrs picked up 13 ground balls.

 

Jackson Memorial 19, Central 1

Freshman attackman Emanuel Jastrzebski and junior attackman Drew Barocas continued to fill the stat sheet, combining for 17 points to power the Jaguars (5-0, 4-0) to a victory over the Golden Eagles (2-4, 0-4).

Jastrzebski scored four goals and added five assists for nine points. He has registered at least eight points in all five games this season and has 49 points on the season. Barocas finished with four goals and four assists and is up to 42 points on the season. He has totaled at least six points in every game.

Justin Perillo added two goals and two assists while Alex Ariel had two goals and one assist and Joseph Muzzillo had a goal and two assists. Elijah Coffman scored twice and picked up 16 ground balls and Charlie Gumina also scored twice. Brendan Albiter and Elias Craig chipped in with one goal each.

Zack O'Connell had a big day at the face-off X winning 17 of 20 draws and Russell Cender made 11 saves in goal to earn the win.

Jahaziel Garcia scored Central's goal and Brady Etzkorn had another standout game with 24 saves.

 

Toms River North 5, Brick 2

Senior attackman Nick Walano scored four goals and senior goalie Evan Singer made 14 saves to lead the Mariners (2-4, 2-2) past the Dragons (3-5, 1-3) in a night game at Toms River North.

Anthony Sperato added one goal, Tim Beahm had two assists, and Cooper Lachowicz had an assist and won 5 of 6 face-offs.

 

Class B North

No. 5 Shore 15, Ocean 1

Junior attackman Carson Spallone scored two goals and dealt out five assists and senior attackman Ben Levy scored twice and added four assists to pace the Blue Devils (5-1, 4-0) in their victory over the Spartans (1-7, 0-4).

Braden Miller added three goals and one assist, Aidan Murphy scored three times, and Sam Madalone had a goal and three assists. Brady Cooke scored twice, Lukas Villa had a goal and an assist, and Reid Spallone scored once. Brendan O'Brien went 9-for-12 with six ground balls at the face-off X and Tucker Malfa won 5 of 8 face-offs and assisted on a goal. Noah Karaban (2 saves) and Adrian Piesco (1 save) shared time in goal.

Ben Girard scored Ocean's lone goal.

 

No. 7 Holmdel 15, St. John Vianney 2

Junior midfielder Will Gifillan scored a career-high eight points on three goals and five assists to lead the way for the Hornets (5-1, 2-1).

Senior attackman Kyle Kapcsos scored three times and added two assists and junior middie Gary Collyer totaled two goals and two assists. Brian Volpe also scored twice while Matt Tempone, Ryan Subotic, Greg Linsalata, Finnegan Buchan, and Ryan Hammer each scored once.

Jack Powers won 10 of 17 face-offs and Andrew Arredondo made four saves to earn the win. Jack Tiller also saw time in goal and made one save.

Brendan Allen scored both goals for St. John Vianney (2-5, 0-3). Jacob Volk (11 saves) and Jack Lupo (1 save) each saw time in goal.

 

Class B South

No. 3 Wall 7, No. 4 Manasquan 6

Junior goalie Lucas Seelinger made several clutch saves in the fourth quarter, sophomore FOGO Michael Hoarle controlled the face-off X, and junior midfielder Shea Brennan sank the go-ahead goal with 1:23 left in regulation as the Crimson Knights (5-2, 4-0) won a thriller over the rival Warriors (4-2, 2-1).

Wall trailed 5-3 entering the fourth quarter and was down 6-4 with 7:42 left in the game before goals by junior midfielder Will Madden and senior attackman John McCurry in a span of 36 seconds tied the game 6-6. Seelinger, who unofficially finished with nine saves, was instrumental in keeping the game close to allow Wall to rally. His best sequence was consecutive saves in the fourth quarter, including a 1v1 save on the crease against Manasquan senior attackman Matt Porazzo after a Wall turnover on a clear left Porazzo all alone. Hoarle was excellent at the face-off X by (unofficially) winning 14 of 17 draws.

McCurry led Wall with three goals and one assist while Madden and Brennan each scored twice.

Manasquan junior goalie Nick Bounassi was also outstanding in his cage with 10 saves, including several highlight-reel stops, to help Manasquan grab the lead entering the fourth quarter. Junior midfielder Brody Muly had two goals and one assists and senior midfielder James Farinacci scored twice for the Warriors. Sophomore attackman Brandon Kunz had a goal and an assist and senior midfielder Blake Gorski scored once.

Manasquan entered the game ranked No. 10 in New Jersey with Wall ranked No. 16 by NJ.com.

 

No. 10 Barnegat 8, Donovan Catholic 7 (3OT)

Sophomore attackman Jakob Jason delivered the game-winning goal in the third overtime period to send the Bengals (6-1, 3-1) to a dramatic victory over the Griffins (3-2, 1-2).

Senior attackman/midfielder Seth Freiwald tallied a game-high four points with three goals and one assist, Jason finished with two goals and one assist, and senior goalie Lucas Holland had a huge game with 21 saves. Sophomore midfielder Luke Tortorici added a goal and an assist while sophomore middie Bailey Carroll and freshman Connor Maloney had one goal each.

For Donovan, Andrew Baltus and Emanuel Gerena each had two goals and one assist. Baltus was also 16-for-20 at the face-off X while Gerena picked up a team-high 12 ground balls. Teague Hibbard added a goal and two assists and Jake Kerwin and Michael Poskay each scored once. Dom Rocci Ciniglio made four saves.

 

Lacey 7, St. Rose 5

Sophomore attackman Corey Smith continued his strong season with three goals and two assists and senior goalie Chad Moore stopped nine shots to lead the Lions (4-4, 1-3) to a divisional victory over the Purple Roses (0-5, 0-4).

Smith is Lacey's leading scorer with 24 goals and 14 assists for 38 points.

Freshman attackman Braedyn Gialanella recorded two goals and two assists while senior midfielder Zach Brewer and freshman attackman Ryan Gleason each scored once. Brewer also collected a team-high nine ground balls.

 

Nondivisional

Neptune 6, Long Branch 2

Junior Andrew Reynolds scored three goals and senior goalie Laens Bastain made 16 saves as the Scarlet Fliers (1-1) downed the Green Wave (0-8) for their first win of the season.

Brendan Mansfield had a goal and a game-high 18 ground balls while Myles McGovern and Erick Contreras also scored one goal each.
