Class B North

No. 9 Red Bank 11, Red Bank Catholic 10

Senior midfielder Ryder Villani totaled three goals and three assists, junior midfielder Andrew Pape tallied three goals and two assists, and senior midfielder Henry Spencer notched a hat trick to lead the way as the Bucs (5-1, 2-1) held off the rival Caseys (2-4, 2-1) for another big divisional victory.

Senior goalie Gavin Lisko was sensational in goal with 23 saves to earn the win, the fourth straight for Red Bank.

After a 4-4 first quarter, RBR scored all three goals during the second quarter to open a 7-4 halftime lead. RBC scored four times in the third quarter to close the gap to 9-8, but Red Bank was able to hold on for the one-goal win.

Freshman attackman Gabe Pape added a goal and an assist, sophomore Jack Tavares scored once, and sophomore FOGO Kevin Ruland won 12 of 21 face-offs. Villani also collected a team-high nine ground balls.

Senior midfielder Torin Hamron had three goals and one assist to lead a balanced RBC offense. Senior defenseman Nick Cosimano had a fantastic game with three goals and 12 ground balls in addition to winning 3 of 5 face-offs. Junior midfielder Jackson Lu added two goals and two assists and senior goalie Christian Schraeder made 17 saves.

Sam Fertal added a goal and two assists and Brian Vecchio had a goal and an assist and won 11 of 20 face-offs.

 

Class B South

Point Boro 17, Jackson Liberty 9

Sophomore attackman Brady Kirk delivered a record-setting performance with five goals and nine assists to lead the surging Panthers (5-1, 3-1) to an emphatic victory over the Lions (2-3, 1-3).

Kirik's nine assists and 14 total points set new program single-game records, breaking the previous marks set by his older brother Aidan. Senior attackman/midfielder Brian Ostrander also had a memorable day with a career-high seven goals plus two assists for a career-best nine points. He also picked up a team-leading nine ground balls.

Spencer Knapp tallied two goals and two assists, Logan Letts scored twice, and Matt Voit scored once. Tommy Morris went 15-for-27 at the face-off X and Colin Cole made seven saves.

Junior attackman Paul Capozzi had another strong game to lead Jackson Liberty, scoring four goals and adding three assists. Reese Stewart added three goals and one assist while Peter Abline and Billy Schuler each scored once. Matthew LaBianca made 13 saves.
