Senior attackman Hayden Lucas delivered three goals and three assists and senior midfielder Joey DeYoung tallied three goals and two assists as the Rams (9-2, 6-0) rolled past the Golden Eagles (2-9, 0-7) on senior night to clinch their 10th straight division title.
Senior Ty Murawski and sophomore Joe Kessler added two goals and one assist, and junior midfielder Anthony Arch had a goal and two assists. Senior Collin Lang and junior attackman Konnor Forlai each scored twice, while senior middie Xander Murray and sophomores Collin Markoski, Billy Bary, and Henry Richardson had one goal each. AJ Matern (4 saves) and Nick Roesch (1 save) combined on the shutout.
Class B North
Rumson-Fair Haven 18, Red Bank Catholic 1
Senior attackman Cole Cashion supplied two goals and two assists to lead a balanced scoring attack as the Bulldogs (11-4, 7-0) stormed past the Caseys (7-6, 6-5) to continue their match toward another division title.
Junior Leo Passalaqua and senior attackman Bryce Devlin had two goals and one assist each and freshman Luke Lydon and sophomore Grayson Goldin each scored twice. Luke Marascio won 15 of 19 face-offs and scored a goal while Andy Croddick, Zach Iwan, Griffin Kolb, Chase Devlin, Joseph Whitehouse, Quinn Lumsden, and Andrew Casazza also had one goal apiece.
Senior midfielder Sam Fertal scored the lone goal for RBC and Christian Schrader made 16 saves.
Nondivisional
Holmdel 16, Middletown South 5
Junior midfielder Gary Collyer exploded for a career-high nine points on three goals and six assists and the Hornets (12-2) earned an impressive win over the Eagles (8-4).
Freshman attackman Finnegan Buchan sank five goals and added two assists and freshman midfielder Jack Cannon delivered four goals and three assists. Junior middie Will Gilfillan had three goals and one assist, sophomore attackman Brian Volpe had a goal and an assist, and senior attackman Kyle Kapcsos had two assists. Sophomore FOGO Jack Powers had another excellent game with an 18-for-25 performance at the face-off X and senior goalie Andrew Arredondo made 11 saves to shut the door.
Logan Ballin led Middletown South with two goals and one assist. Steve Kirschner had a goal and an assist, Jake Sawyer and Beau Servidio each scored once and Matt Mason made three saves.
Manalapan 15, Jackson Memorial 7
Junior midfielder/attackman Marc Stefanelli fired in four goals and added two assists and junior attackman Christian Zdziarski provided two goals and three assists to send the Braves (8-4) to a quality victory over the Jaguars (8-2).
Junior attackman Anthony Macchio notched a hat trick and sophomore Matt Avivi tallied two goals and one assist. Senior midfielder Luke Mann, junior Michael Bonner, sophomore Jason Rinaldi, and junior defenseman/LSM Aidan Wilmot each scored once. Freshman goalie Connor Doel made 10 saves to earn the win and junior Antonio Santana also saw time in goal, making two saves.
Junior midfielder Elias Craig scored three goals and one assist to lead Jackson. Sophomore midfielder/attackman Brendan Albiter scored twice, freshman attackman Emanuel Jastrzebski had a goal and two assists, and senior attackman Justin Perillo had a goal and an assist. Junior goalie Russell Cender made 10 saves.
Donovan Catholic 18, Ocean 2
Sophomore midfielder Teague Hibbard, junior attackman Jack Farlekas, and junior midfielder Andrew Baltus combined for 13 goals and six assists to power the Griffins (8-5) past the Spartans (3-13).
Hibbard scored a game-high six goals and Falrkas totaled a game-high seven points on three goals and four assists. Baltus scored four goals, added two assists, and went a perfect 11-for-11 at the face-off X. Jayden Nascimento, Evan Roeber, Michael Poskay, David Wentworth, and Jaker Kerwin each scored once while Peyton Calvetto, Robert Armstrong, and Emanuel Gerena each had two assists. Dom Rocco Ciniglio picked up the win with three saves in goal.
Lacey 21, Marlboro 2
Sophomore attackman Corey Smith erupted for 10 goals as the Lions (7-7) locked up a Shore Conference Tournament berth with a victory over the Mustangs (1-12).
Freshman attackman Braedyn Gialanella sank four goals and added five assists and freshman attackman Ryan Gleason scored six goals and added two assists. Senior middie Chris Grassadonio added a goal and two assists and senior goalie Chad Moore made nine saves.
Freehold Township 10, Brick 2
Senior midfielder Jaden Bulkley tallied two goals and three assists and senior midfielder Aidan Harrington and junior midfielder Nick Carnavale each totaled three goals and one assist to lead the Patriots (7-4) past the Dragons (4-10).
Sophomore Brendan Carfagno scored twice and junior attackman Nolan Thompson had two assists. Sophomore goalie Junior Alvarado made five saves to earn the victory.
Junior midfielder Travis Hickman and freshman midfielder James Hirtes each scored once for Brick.
Howell 15, Brick Memorial 4
Senior attackman Nate Lorenzo posted a career-high 10 points with four goals and six assists and senior attackman Jack Marich reached 100 career points with three goals and one assist as the Rebels (6-7) ran to a victory over the Mustangs (4-10) on senior night.
Vincent Meehan scored twice and Ian McDow had a goal and three assists. Nicholas Turturro had a goal and an assist, senior Kieran Baldwin and freshman Alexzander Mooneyhand each scored their first varsity goal, and Jayden Devino also scored once. Senior goalie Brendan Breschard made eight saves in goal.
Freshman attackman Nick Correa scored twice and sophomore goalie Matt Hillin made 12 saves for Brick Memorial. Senior attackman/midfielder Michael Occhiogrosso and freshman midfielder Trey Tallmadge had a goal and an assist each and senior FOGO Christian Valanzola won 14 of 21 at the face-off X.
Jackson Liberty 20, St. John Vianney 3
Junior Paul Capozzi took it to another level with a career-high 11 goals and five assists for a career-high 16 points as the Lions (5-7) roared past the Lancers (7-8) to squash SJV's chance at a Shore Conference Tournament berth.
Capozzi's 11 goals and 16 points are both Jackson Liberty single-game school records.
Jeffery White scored three goals and added four assists and Reese Stewart tallied three goals and three assists. Peter Abline, James Capuzzi, and Max Bandelt each scored once. Matthew LaBianca (12 saves) and Evan Canning (1 save) shared time in goal.
Ian Butler scored twice, William Keegan had a goal and two assists, and Max Menkowitz won 22 of 23 face-offs to lead St. John Vianney. Jacob Volk and Jack Lupo shared time in goal and made five saves each.
Shore 17, St. Rose 0
All-Shore senior goalie Walker Hunter made his season debut to provide an emotional lift and Sam Madalone, Carson Spallone, and Reid Spallone each tallied five points to pace the offense in the Blue Devils (8-4) shutout victory over the Purple Roses (1-9).
Hunter suffered an injury during football season and was feared to be lost for the entire lacrosse season. The Fairfield commit made four saves before handing the reins over to junior Noah Karaban (2 saves). Madalone and Reid Spallone each registered two goals and three assists while Carson Spallone had a goal and four assists.
Brady Cooke scored three times and Ben Levy, Braden Miller, and Matteo Molino each scored twice. For Molino, they were his first varsity goals. Joey Marianni, Tucker Malfa, and Brendan O'Brien had one goal each.
Barnegat 8, Toms River North 5
Sophomore midfielder/attackman Bailey Carroll scored three times and sophomore midfielder Luke Tortorici had a goal and four assists to lead the Bengals (11-3) past the Mariners (3-9).
Seth Freiwald tallied two goals and one assist and Robert Sawicki added a goal and two assists. Antonio Frusco won 11 of 15 at the face-off X and Lucas Holland made six saves.
Senior goalie Evan Singer had another huge game for Toms River North with 23 saves, his seventh game this season with 20 or more stops. Senior Tim Beahm scored four goals and one assist and senior attackman Nick Walano had a goal and an assist to pace the offense.
Nonconference
Red Bank 13, East Brunswick 5
Senior midfielder Henry Spencer sank five goals and assisted on two more and senior goalie Gavin Lisko made 10 saves to steer the Bucs (12-2) to a victory over the Bears (7-6-1).
Senior midfielder Ryder Villani and freshman Ryan Deverin each scored twice and junior midfielder Andrew Pape had a goal and two assists. Senior Trey Lynch had a goal and an assist and sophomore Jack Tavares and freshman Gabe Pape had one goal each. Sophomore FOGO Kevin Ruland won 14 of 18 face-offs and picked up 10 ground balls.
