No. 2 CBA 18, Marlboro 0

Sophomore attackman Carter McGuire took center stage with a career-high seven goals to lead the way for the Colts (6-1, 5-0) in their victory over the Mustangs (0-7, 0-5).

Freshman attackman Caden Lucich added two goals and two assists, sophomore midfielder Davis Campbell recorded a hat trick, and Ben Breeden tallied a goal and three assists. Roman DeCenzo finished with two goals and one assist while Aayush Dave, Manolis Paragioudakis, and Cameron D'Alterio each scored once. Sophomore goalie Luke Phillips made five saves.

Senior goalie DJ Silvia made five saves for Marlboro.

 

Nondivisional

Toms River East 8, No. 10 Barnegat 2

Senior midfielder Luke Barber reached the 100-goal milestone by registering five goals and one assist as the Raiders (5-1) upended the Bengals (6-2).

Sophomore midfielder Nate Cummings tallied two goals and two assists, freshman attackman/midfielder Nicholas Caruso had a goal and an assist, and senior goalie Lester Cook backstopped a strong defensive performance with eight saves.

Sophomore midfielder Luke Tortorici scored twice for Barnegat.

 

St. John Vianney 16, Neptune 9

Junior attackman William Keegan erupted for a career-high 10 points on six goals and four assists to power the Lancers (3-5) to a victory over the Scarlet Fliers (1-2).

The game was tied 2-2 after the first quarter before the Lancers put it away with a 13-4 run spanning the second and third quarters.

Ian Butler sank three goals and added one assist, Nick Galamb scored twice with one assist, and Khush Mehta had a goal and two assists. Recording a goal and an assist each were Darren Twomey, Max Menkowitz, Brendan Allen, and Matt Doherty. Menkowitz also had a near-perfect day at the face-off X, going 15-for-16. Jacob Volk (4 saves), Jack Lupo (3 saves), and Luciano Formica shared time in goal.

Senior Myles McGovern also had a career day for Neptune with six goals. Brendan Mansfield added a goal and an assist, Andrew Reynolds and Jaydon Destouche each scored once, and Laens Bastain made 16 saves.

 

Donovan Catholic 6, Brick 1

Andrew Baltus scored twice and Dom Rocco Ciniglio made four saves as the Griffins (4-2) shut down the Dragons (1-6).

Emanuel Gerena and Teague Hibbard had a goal and an assist each. Sonny Vanesko and Jack Farlekas had one goal apiece.

 

Howell 9, Lacey 7

Junior midfielder Ian McDow fired in two goals and added two assists and senior goalie Brendan Breschard made nine saves to help the Rebels (3-4) hold off the Lions (4-5).

Nate Lorenzo, Jack Marich, and Nicholas Turturro each registered two goals and one assist and Vincent Meehan scored once.

 

Jackson Memorial 17, Jackson Liberty 7

Freshman attackman Emanuel Jastrzebski scored four goals and added eight assists and Zack O'Connell won 24 of 27 face-offs as the Jaguars (6-0) ran past the rival Lions (2-4) to remain undefeated.

Justin Perillo scored four goals and added two assists, Drew Barocas tallied four goals and one assist, and Elias Craig also scored four goals. Elijah Coffman picked up a game-high 11 ground balls.

Junior attackman Paul Capozzi led Jackson Liberty with four goals and two assists. Reese Stewart had two goals and one assist, Peter Abline scored twice, and Matthew LaBianca made eight saves.
