Rumson Rolls Up 426 Yards Rushing to Advance to CJ Group II Semifinals

Senior tailback Charlie Volker ran for 172 yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries and sophomore quarterback Mike O’Connor added 143 yards rushing and a touchdown on 12 carries as the defending champion Bulldogs (7-2) took care of the Crusaders (4-5) by rolling up 425 yards rushing and will now host third-seeded Cinnaminson in the semifinals.

Senior Lucas Seckler added an 18-yard touchdown run in the win. Junior defensive back Mike Caruso had an interception, and senior linebacker Tucker Briggs, junior linebacker Max Pfrang and sophomore linebacker James Melia each had fumble recoveries to lead the defense.
