Sophomore fullback Jake Croce ran for 122 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries and senior quarterback Charlie Vitale ran for 83 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries to lead top-seeded Point Borro to a 28-7 victory over New Providence in the semifinals of the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 2 playoffs on Friday night at Al Saner Field.

Junior slotback Connor Cilento added 50 yards rushing on six carries and sophomore slotback Matt Oliphant ran for 55 yards and a touchdown on six carries as Point Boro's triple option racked up 330 yards on the ground.

The defense was led by junior middle linebacker JJ Bennet (10 tackles), junior defensive end Aidan Ward (7 tackles), and junior linebacker Maddox Samaritano (8 tackles).

Point Boro will host Willingboro in the sectional championship game next Friday night.
