Senior quarterback Jamie Mazzacco had another outstanding game with 245 yards rushing and five touchdowns on 23 carries to lead Shore Regional to a 42-8 victory over Burlington City in the first round NJSIAA South Jersey Group 1 playoffs.

Mazzacco had a 15-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and touchdown runs of 33 and 46 yards in the second quarter to give Shore a three-score halftime lead. He then scored on runs of 12 and 37 yards in the third quarter before Ty Koch added a 24-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Mazzacco has now rushed for 1,469 yards and 23 touchdowns this season. He has also thrown for 497 yards and two touchdowns, recorded a team-high 62 tackles, intercepted a pass, converted 24 of 28 extra points, kicked two field goals, and averaged 36 yards per punt

Shore will host third-seeded Woodstown next Friday at 7 p.m. in the semifinals.
